Always read the fine print -- the last two months have been a real pain in the neck
Fox News ^ | April 22, 2017 | Janice Dean

My doctor told me there was a procedure that’s fairly new, but it’s changing the game in cosmetic surgery. It’s called “fractora,” an outpatient procedure done in the office that takes under an hour and that regenerates your natural collagen and tightens that old skin.

I went home and told my husband I wanted to do this.

Full disclosure: My husband hates the idea of any kind of surgery or injecting anything into my face. But I’ve convinced him that all of this is safe and I have a very well-respected doctor who has an office in Manhattan. I promise I won’t do anything else after this. OK, he relents. I know you’ve hated your neck since I started dating you. Hmmm…Was I that obvious?

The doctor comes in and performs the procedure. My husband picks me up and doesn’t say so at the time, but later tells me that I looked terrible. Especially the left side of my face. My head is bandaged and so is my neck.

I get home and my kids look a little scared. “What happened mama? Why do you look like a Q-tip? Are you OK?” Yes, boys. Everything's fine. I just had to go the doctor for a little thing with my neck. This bandage will be off tomorrow and I’ll be fine. But for now mama has to lie down.

The left side of my face was puffed out like a chipmunk. I followed the doctor’s instructions and elevated my head and took more Tylenol to minimize bruising.

The next day I took off my bandages. The left side of my face was still very swollen and I was finding it hard to talk out of that side of my mouth. I couldn’t chew properly.

[[She appeared flawless. Beautiful long, blonde hair – gorgeous smile.]]

Amazing what post processing can do to photographs huh? Yes she has great features, but you can bet all of the wrinkles and blemishes and stuff have been wiped away with post processing photoshop work-

“Since it’s “fairly new”, there’s a very good chance your doctor has performed very few, if any, of these procedures, and you were his guinea pig. “

yeppers.

experience is EVERYTHING in medical procedures. EVERYTHING!

first questions: How many of these have YOU done?

second question: What complications have occurred in YOUR procedures?

third question: What’s the worst complication that has occurred in a patient of YOURS as a consequence of this procedure?

third question: What is YOUR complication percentage for this procedure?

if doc is evasive, offended, hems and haws a lot, go find another doc.

also, look up everything you can find about this procedure AND this doc online, including reading the medical papers at pubmed.gov.

do NOT hesitate to travel out of town to the best doc who’s done the procedure the most times successfully if you can afford it and/or the out-of-town doc is covered by your insurance. it’s foolish to go to the local yokel doc JUST because of convenience, particularly if the procedure has major live altering consequences (either good OR bad).

They don’t call it medical PRACTICE for nothing!

When someone rearranges your face, it’s going to look bad until the dust settles.
Don’t even look at it for a week. That’s why we invented bandages!
What I find unsettling here is that she had to email pics to the doctor’s assistant. Post surgery, you would think they’d let her come in so the doctor could have a look, up close. I guess he’s too busy for that...

Over the past five years, millions of people have spent more money on breast implants and Viagra than was spent on Alzheimer’s research.

It is believed that by the year 2030, there will be a large number of people wandering around with perky breasts and erections who will not remember what to do with them!

The point of the story is that things do not always go as planned & there can be bad after-effects, even permanent damage, from these ‘simple’ procedures. It looks like she’s lucking out & the bad effects are temporary.

People are foolish to be concerned about their looks. No matter how beautiful you are, there’s probably a flaw somewhere. No matter how ugly, you can still be beautiful inside.

Was it Joan Rivers that died from complications from "minor" plastic surgery?

Janice should have skipped the procedure, and just used Shep Smith's makeup "artist".

Exactly. There’s nothing I can do about Mother Nature being a bytch and hating my guts (as far as wrinkles and sagging skin) but I’m holdin’ on for dear life to keep my soul soaring....LOL

When your primary basis for decisions are emotions and impulses, you end up with a lot of regrets and wondering why things didn’t go as planned.

One can cheat the aging awhile with medicine. However age used to be respected for its wisdom. Rise up before the hoary head, advises the bible.

Or you can allow God to make that disappointing thing you see in the mirror improbably beautiful/handsome. God knows the right time, the right way. And it’s often a human myth that the rocking chair has to get ya.

Ah I know. A stud or a stunner, but forgetting why. And the forgetfulness began way before Alzheimers set in. It began in the Garden of Eden. God please forgive me, forgive us all. We thought we understood but we did not.

She didn’t die of complications. A doctor who was not even authorized to be in the room stuck an instrument in her throat and it touched her vocal chords. They seized up keeping her from breathing. It was incompetence pure and simple.

I wouldn’t dare do anything to alter what Mother Nature has wrought. I’d rather have a few gray hairs and wrinkles than to be vain. Besides my Hubby loves me just the way I am and I know God loves me and that makes me happy.......;)

Yes, but she also made a grevious error in some prior public statements, in that she repeatedly stated that 0bamodope was a flaming fairy and that wife "Michelle" was in fact a tranny.

Coincidence? We may never know...
