Both sexes are calculating, but in different ways. The difference? Men trade in good and services. Women trade on their feelings, looks, and (drumroll....) sex.

Warned my nephews about that last one early on.
Much more dangerous than any weapon.

Interesting article. Thanks for posting.
From a famous author who wrote stories about the late 1800s:
“A true gentleman is at a disadvantage in dealing with women. Women are realists, and their tactics are realistic, so no man should be a gentleman where women are concerned unless the women are very, very old or very, very young. Women admire gentlemen, and sleep with cads.”
Louis L’Amour

Sure are, as are men.
Difference is women look to men for money, whereas men look to money for women.
On average, a wealthy man is as exciting to a woman as a beautiful woman is to a man.
Makes sense biologically, in that women have had to worry about resources for their children.

Yes. That is why I married a band director who later became a missionary. For the money.

Women are not mercenary, they are hypergamous. But I dont think that word existed in 1891.

This is how sociopathic homos took over the planet: they were not entrained by crazy women. Crazy men lovers, yes, that still haven’t approached, achieved, approximated the societal earthquake of ‘a woman scorned’.
