Yesterday, he gave the commencement speech at Grove City College in PA and was also given a very warm welcome.
Ignorant, naive young people got suckered in the 1960’s.
Same crap happening again.
To correct myself, there WERE protests when Pence arrived at Grove City College, but not from the college’s students and graduates.
Most came from nearby Slippery Rock University and some were ex-Grove City grads. One was an alumni who outed herself as a Lesbian and claims that she received a lot of “hate” after she came out.
Most Grove City residents disapproved of the protest.
See here:
When they hit age 40 or 50 I’m sure some of them will regret it. Some won’t.
Faith and Family. Guess which most people can relate to?
Both family and faith are personal. Faith relates to one instance of belief, family relates to multiples. Simple logic.
Faith can not be shared like family. Love your family and their choice of faith. Never pontificate.
I hope Trump has the walkout on twitter. Their future job interviewers can take it into account.
Religion is a trigger for you so why not go to a Catholic School.
Idiots.
question, is the story more people stayed.
Would they have done this to bammy who gave money to a regime that hates us?
Shame on Notre Dame.
What’s Notre Dame supposed to do, stop these knuckleheads from walking out?
This time around, it's NOT the '60s. Today, a college education for those who don't make wise choices involves a lifetime of debt. Today, a student who wants to get an education can decide that there's no point in attending a physical education, and get an online degree instead. Who wants their children to be involved with these disgusting jerks?
They remind me of juvenile delinquents writing dumb statements on somebody else's wall.
Wouldn't it be better to respect the rights of other students to enjoy their commencement instead of making a spectacle of yourself about something you probably don't understand?
Out of curiosity I would like to know the majors of these students that walk out.

On March 26, 2015, Gov. Mike Pence (R-IN) signed Indiana Senate Bill 101, also known as the Indiana "religious objections" bill (Religious Freedom Restoration Act, or RFRA), into law.[111] The law's signing was met with criticism by people and groups who felt the law was carefully worded in a way that would permit discrimination against LGBT persons.[112][113][114][115] Such organizations as the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the gamer convention Gen Con, and the Disciples of Christ spoke out against the law. Apple CEO Tim Cook and Salesforce.com CEO Marc Benioff condemned the law, with Salesforce.com saying it would halt its plans to expand in the state.[116][117] Angie's List announced that they would cancel a $40 million expansion of their Indianapolis based headquarters over concerns with the law. The expansion would have moved 1000 jobs into the state.[118] Thousands protested against the policy.[112] Five GOP state representatives voted against the bill, and Greg Ballard, the Republican mayor of Indianapolis, criticized it as sending the "wrong signal" about the state.[119] Pence defended the law, stating that it was not about discrimination. In an appearance on the ABC News program This Week with George Stephanopoulos,[120] Pence stated, "We are not going to change this law", while refusing to answer whether examples of discrimination against LGBT people given by Eric Miller of anti-LGBT group Advance America would be legal under the law.[121] Pence denied the law permitted discrimination and wrote in a March 31, 2015, Wall Street Journal op-ed, "If I saw a restaurant owner refuse to serve a gay couple, I wouldn't eat there anymore. As governor of Indiana, if I were presented a bill that legalized discrimination against any person or group, I would veto it."[122] In the wake of the backlash against the RFRA, on April 2, 2015, Pence signed legislation revising the law to prevent potential discrimination.[123]
Who gives a rats ass if they walked out! Libs gotta do what libs gotta do. Probably time to stop giving commencement speeches that no one appreciates and focus on moving forward making America great again!! BUILD THAT WALL!!!!
Fact check - besides Trump's comments about enhanced vetting and attempted ban on immigrants from 7 war-torn Muslim-majority nations - what has he said about Islam in particular? Nothing ( that I know of )please correct me if I'm wrong.
Notre Dame has gone decidedly to the far left over the past 20 years esp. in some internal special subdivisions re the “peace studies” crap.
Glad to see the some students, parents and staff know how to show respect to a speaker regardless of who they are.
As for the aholes who walked out, TS. Nothing like being sore losers and leftist stooges.
My college commencements featured then VP Hubert Humphrey, and later NAACP leader Benjamin Hooks who bored the shit out of us (outside in 85+* weather and us in heavy graduation gowns). But nobody back then ever thought of showing disrespect to any speaker if they disagreed with them.
The Marxist and Black Extremist Left has now made a career out of doing that are graduations. Soon the worm will turn and some protestors will be looking for their heads instead of a job. I can feel it coming.
Maybe...not tolerate a campus culture at odds with Civic life?
Those seven “Muslim majority” countries were actually chosen by Obama as countries that are hot beds for terrorism.
FBI Director James Comey (where have I heard that name before?) himself stated that the FBI could not vet “refugees” from those countries.
The good thing is that these disrespectful pukes will be found out on social media and be denied jobs in the future. However, they may get to work at Starbucks.
