I give credit to most of the graduates and faculty ...Pence was actually given a MOSTLY WARM welcome on campus.

Yesterday, he gave the commencement speech at Grove City College in PA and was also given a very warm welcome.

To correct myself, there WERE protests when Pence arrived at Grove City College, but not from the college’s students and graduates.

Most came from nearby Slippery Rock University and some were ex-Grove City grads. One was an alumni who outed herself as a Lesbian and claims that she received a lot of “hate” after she came out.

Most Grove City residents disapproved of the protest.

Outrageous. If these students had an objection to the speaker, the right they possessed was to not attend. They made a mockery out of what Notre Dame is supposed to teach them....a willingness to listen to a full spectrum of ideas.

This time around, it's NOT the '60s. Today, a college education for those who don't make wise choices involves a lifetime of debt. Today, a student who wants to get an education can decide that there's no point in attending a physical education, and get an online degree instead. Who wants their children to be involved with these disgusting jerks?

Notre Dame has gone decidedly to the far left over the past 20 years esp. in some internal special subdivisions re the “peace studies” crap.

Glad to see the some students, parents and staff know how to show respect to a speaker regardless of who they are.

As for the aholes who walked out, TS. Nothing like being sore losers and leftist stooges.

My college commencements featured then VP Hubert Humphrey, and later NAACP leader Benjamin Hooks who bored the shit out of us (outside in 85+* weather and us in heavy graduation gowns). But nobody back then ever thought of showing disrespect to any speaker if they disagreed with them.

The Marxist and Black Extremist Left has now made a career out of doing that are graduations. Soon the worm will turn and some protestors will be looking for their heads instead of a job. I can feel it coming.

I don’t know all that much about Pence, but he seems like a team player and a decent sort. Others have mentioned he’s solid, and I’ve pretty much accepted that.

He is not the sort that deserved people to walk out on him today. He has not been controversial, and he deserves to be heard.

The Left talks and talks and talks and talks about diversity. Then when someone with a diverse opinion from their opinion shows up, they throw a hiss-fit and walk away.

That’s what the safe rooms are all about. They are so intimidated by the idea someone might not agree with them, that they refuse to venture out in public so they can.

They demand to be safe from that sort of thing.

I pity the people who will have to deal with these social misfits after they graduate.

Interview after interview, they fail. Then they chalk it up to racism or some such. No, it’s because you outed yourself somewhere along the line, and the potential employer will want nothing to do with your agenda driven snivel.

I regard Vice-President Pence very highly. President Trump gets major kudos for selecting him as a running mate, IMHO. The people who walked out improved the graduation by their departure.
