Senate Republicans are warning President Donald Trump not to fire Special Counsel Robert Mueller, despite growing concerns about Muellers conflicts of interest and his approach to the investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.
On Monday, reports emerged that Newsmax Media CEO Chris Ruddy had suggested that the president was thinking of firing Mueller. The president has the constitutional authority to fire a Special Counsel.
However, the suggestion was opposed vehemently by Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Susan Collins (R-ME), according to Politico.
It would be a disaster, Graham said. Theres no reason to fire Mueller. Whats he done to be fired?
Politico quoted Collins as saying that firing Mueller would certainly be an extraordinarily unwise move.
However, there is growing opposition to Muellers appointment among conservatives outside the administration.
Mueller is known to be close friends with former FBI director James Comey, whose credibility he would have to weigh against the presidents if Mueller decided to probe whether Trump committed obstruction of justice by expressing the hope that Comey would be lenient with former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn.
In addition, Mueller has added a former Clinton Foundation attorney to his investigative team. The attorney, Jeannie Rhee, defended the Clinton Foundation against Freedom of Information Act requests regarding Hillary Clintons illicit private email server

Why are they even commenting on something some pundit said?
If it didn’t come directly from Trump, don buy into it
Mueller and the entire senate should be fired.
Heck, Ryan is one with them.
Agree. He is as smarmy as the rest and to me not on the side of The Donald
No need to fire Mueller, just appoint a deputy special prosecutor who will report back to the President on the progress of the case.
Aren’t you implicitly saying Obama is not a loser?
More importantly he has a close relationship with a witness Comey. He should resign
Excellent Idea!
Jay Sekulow is now part of Trump’s legal team. Maybe he can help to get the ball rolling.
Exactly. That’s even more reason to fire him!
Absolutely correct. Comey concocted the whole scheme just to appoint this special counsel. Now that his story has unraveled and his admission is made public, this hearing should not even be taking place. I hope Gowdy asks that question, as well as a few others...
Agree. Fire Mueller... it pissed off all the right people.
Yup. Can him. The caterwauling can’t possibly get any worse than it already is.
McCain still recovering from his Dementia questions of Comey! FIRE MUELLER, AND IT NEEDS TO GET LOUDER DAILY!
Comey’s testimony that he passed FBI memos of his meetings with Trump - FBI property since they were written on FBI equipment on FBI time in FBI facilities - is an admission to a prosecutable crime. Since Comey’s stated reason to Congress for doing this was to force a Special Prosecutor to be appointed, then the appointment of Mueller was made as a result of illegal actions and fraud on the part of Comey.
For this reason, Congress has a duty to dismiss this special prosecutor immediately, especially given Mueller’s current picks for his staff having obvious conflicts of interest in the case and biases.
It is looking more and more like an armed conflict between the Patriots (who believe in rule of law & swore to the oath to defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and DOMESTIC) and these leftist/communist thugs who are intent on overthrowing our Constitutional Republic is inevitable.
Two good reasons to FIRE this NeverTrump asswipe now.
I say the same, hire another Special Prosecutor more to conservative’s likeing and have them parallel each other...Mueller would find that he couldn’t spin things against Trump falsely without being called on it.
Shove it, Limpy Graham
