They DO sleep at times but they’ve been quiet all night tonight.
Turning the thermostat way up for a while seems to have helped. I turned it back down a little while ago and it’s cooling things off now.

Awesome! Sounds like you found the remedy! Hope it continues to cool so you all aren’t so miserable.
How on EARTH did our ancestors live without AC...and wore all those hot clothes, too! whew! It’s a mystery to me!

We’ll see how things go tomorrow when the heat cranks up again. If they can get through the day, things will moderate a little Saturday.
I lived many years without A/C when I was single. It wasn’t easy, that’s for sure. How they did it back in the old days, I don’t know. Like you said, they wore all those hot clothes. UGH!!

Good evening, radu...still HOT? Dried out some?
We are headed back up to the 70s, but we did have some rain early today.

I did, too, and spent most of my summers running wild with my brother and cousins at my grandparents’ ranch. I don’t remember ever complaining about being too hot!
Kids. They’re tough!

Howdy, Kathy!
Hot is an understatement. LOL! Horrible today and will be hotter tomorrow. Our poor window A/C units are having a bad time of it and it’s been toasty in the house.
Your 70s sound divine to us!
Glad you got some rain the past couple of days. Won’t have to water the lawn for a little while now. :-)

We had A/C when I was growing up but like you, we were outside most of the time playing. Still nice to be able to cool off when we went home though.
It was after I moved out that I had no A/C most of the time. It was rough but I could handle it. Can’t do it nowadays. I have no tolerance for heat at all.
Sux gettin’ old. Turnin’ into a wimp. LOL

LOL! So stealthy I didn’t notice at all!
Too busy watching the young storks in Poland tonight. So cool seeing the first one take flight.
