Fox News host Judge Jeanine Pirro caught speeding at 119 mph

Fox News host Jeanine Pirro was pulled over for speeding in upstate New York after she was clocked going 119 mph in a 65 mph zone.

The New York Daily News reported Pirro was stopped by a state trooper in Tioga County around 1:15 p.m. Sunday.

Pirro, the host of "Justice With Judge Jeanine," said she was on her way to visit her ailing mother but vowed to "pay the consequences."

“I had been driving for hours to visit my ailing 89-year-old mom and didn’t realize how fast I was driving. I believe in the rule of law and I will pay the consequences,” Pirro said in a Fox News Channel statement.

New York's Department of Motor Vehicles says a conviction for going more than 40 mph over the speed limit could put 11 points on a driver's license. Eleven points will lead to a license suspension.

It’s hard to see the speedometer when you have DDDs. Not her fault.

I recently bought a new turbo SUV and it was so quiet I didnt realize I was going over 95. It seemed like my usual 75. Even so I dont think you can drive 119 without knowing it.

She owned up to it and is taking her lumps. I don’t approve of what she did. I’m sorry to see her have to deal with this. Hey, it is what it is.

One Sunday morning about 48 years ago, I was unwinding my 65’ Mustang, burning out carbon buildup. I had been working long hours, and I was also simply blowing off steam.

It was on the (5) Golden State Freeway near Sunland Boulevard. There was no other traffic within half a mile that I saw.

The officer sited me with this note:

I was following him at 125 mph and he was leaving me. (paraphrased)

He was decent about it. He was also visibly shaken having had to drive that fast. I actually felt bad for him.

We dealt cordially with each other. I apologized for putting him through the high speed. He contemplated taking me in and impounding the vehicle. He didn’t.

My 65’ Mustang wouldn’t got 125 mph. It was pretty well tapped out at around 115 mph. In good condition it probably could have, but it wasn’t tuned optimally.

That would have been bad enough, but they were running a zone check on a road I had to drive to get to work, and I got two other tickets that week for going 10 miles over the limit.

Driving to work, you sometimes think about what you’ll be facing at work. I was doing this the second time I got a ticket on the same stretch of road.

It was a trying time in my personal life.

I settled down after this and didn’t have anymore tickets for about 40 years.

Judge Pirro, I feel your pain. Life goes on.

Fastest I ever drove was 109 in a 1970 Pontiac Firebird. Even at my then young age of 30, I saw scenery going by too fast, got scared, and slowed down.

Good thing she didn’t get into collision and seriously injured or killed.

What was she driving?

A Nash Rambler.

"Hey, buddy, how can I get this car out of second gear?"

That mention of Judge Moore only took forever! I thought this thread would be filled with blowback at Judge Jeanine.

119 mph, eh? Rules for thee but not for me, perhaps?

If she was driving a Beemer she absolutely would know but maybe not in a Mercedes. Everyone assumes there were other people on the road but it may have been late at night or country where there was no one out. You can inch up awfully fast without realizing it when you’ve been driving for hours. Especially if she was in a hurry worried about her mom.

A Dodge Challenger can do over 200. But you can’t pass any gas stations if you go that fast.

(You picked the wrong person to complain about Pirro’s opinion of Moore here so I will just say nothing)
(But I still want his R butt in the senate seat so that’s good)

It’s not the ticket its the state surcharges. They can make the fine look miniscule. Then there is the court ordered driving school scam that is an added benefit.... To the state.

I had a 1977 Dastsun 260Z 2+2. Baby blue. I could get 55 in second gear. Loved that car!

When the Foothill (210) freeway opened in La Crescenta, California, I too my new Trans Am out for a spin to see what it would do.

I checked the rear view and proceeded to top out at 137 mph.

That’s the fastest I have ever gone.

I was a hellion behind the wheel when I was young.

Today I drive the posted speed limit. I have for many years.

I drive in the number two or three lanes, and just drive relaxed.

In my youth I drove around with a knot in my stomach most of the time. At one point I asked myself, why are you doing this? If you drive the speed limit you don’t have to look behind you to see if there any cops. You can just relax.

Tried it. Liked it. There was no going back.

Wow, 119 in a 65 speed zone should be treated as reckless driving. I would hope that she would lose her drivers license in any state for that.
