This was essentially how Mark Stein analyzed it too. Moore was not “sufficiently nimble” and had not thought out how to answer the question.

He did like girls who were high school age and girls of that age are not always old enough to date. It is also difficult to discern their age unless you ask them directly, something Moore should have known. It is still possible that the main accusation is a fabrication or a confusion of things that are too distant in memory to be certain of having the details right. The retelling of the tale as though it were a brief short story from Penthouse made it very clear to the reader, but thinking of my own early dating is not as clear as all that today. (Yes I am Moore’s age).

Moore’s best strategy would have been to take this head on, explain his own early activities honestly, explain how he took steps to determine the eligibility of the youthful dating partners he was seeking, and produce all the evidence he could to cast doubt on the accusers’ story.

He did not do this effectively and this resulted in most conservatives at Fox turning against him. (Maybe with management help) and they continued their non-support up to the election,. This election may be thought of as a Fox News joining the main media in a gang tackle that cost Moore the Alabama seat. I believe the Alabama voters were treated to a overwhelming onslaught of anti-Moore details that persuaded each of them with their own views and overcame the normally sensible red state voters to stay home.

I certainly agree with that. If Alabama can’t vote for a pro-life conservative how can we expect Wisconsin to get rid of Paul Ryan??

Easily. In the primary, vote for the strongest challenger, no matter who or she might be.

If that doesn't work, vote for the Democrat in the general. Since that's a strongly Republican district, the Democrat should be easily beat two years later.

In two years, that democrat could affect voting rights, practices, etc., to the point of changing the dynamics of the next election. Never underestimate the depths to which liberals will sink, to get their own evil agenda moved forward.

If you’re so afraid that ONE freshman democrat congressman out of 435 is gonna do all that if you don’t vote for the backstabber Paul Ryan, I don’t know what to say to you, because that indicates that you have no huevos at all.

Moore wasn’t impressive in the Hannity interview.

Hannity made that situation worse by swallowing the yearbook scam that Gloria Allred trotted out- Hannity believing his ‘handwriting expert’ as if that’s hard science. Sometimes Sean can be as dumb as a sack of rocks.

Do not believe that glossed over “humble” image his handlers created for him.

“Yes, in my thirties I was attracted to young, of age women, and I even married a younger woman, and once I fell in love with my wife, I never looked at anyone else. We’ve had X blissful years together. I never dated anyone below the age of consent.” Problem disappeared.

Yep, that is the way it could have been successfully handled.

But Sean had been turned off by Moore’s equivocal, dishonest answers, which led him to believe Moore was lying or hiding SOMETHING. That just won’t do. Moore was evidently NOT such a great guy in his thirties. A VERY flawed candidate even with the heaps of powdered sugar and halo placed on him by FReepers.

Yes, a very flawed candidate, no question. Very amateurish. Sean is a very honest guy and was probably only doing what he thought best. However, he was running a prosecutorial style interview. Contrast that with 60 minutes disinformational style interview, a.k.a. as Hillary's "Stand by your man" interview. Nothing but softball questions with no follow ups. Knowing what I know now, Bill and Hillary were probably given questions in advance so they could prepare their responses.

Well you didn’t want Sean to lose any of his advertisers. How can you expect a guy to live on only $10 million per year?

Lose advertisers = get O'Reillyed

Sean is to blame.

He allowed Moore to go live on the air and give one of the WORST political speeches in recent memory.

Moore made a public spectacle of himself on the Sean Hannity show.

So yeah. Sean is at fault.

(rolls eyes)

Sean gave a hard hitting interview with follow up questions. It was as if Moore was on the witness stand. I do not ever recall a democrat receiving such treatment from the mainstream media. Do you?

Moore responded like a deer in the headlights and was unconvincing at best, or even creepy.

The mainstream media's treatment of the Clinton's was always softball questions with no follow up. That is the main point I am making is, like it or not, intentional or unintentional, Sean Hannity is part of the media double standard.

Yes, and I can understand why Sean would not give questions in advance. I heard his interview and he jumped around a little and clearly tried to give Moore a second chance at the young girls concern. It was clear that Moore was having trouble with something in the question. As I postulated, he probably was looking for a youthful girl, (and was obviously not looking for someone underage) — but this girl identified herself as trying to act older and we know from her custody issues that single Mom was having trouble and wanted Dad to take over and likely instill some discipline. So this was a difficult one for the judge. Now, if he had exposed the information at once — preferably before being grilled by Hannity, then his contention that he never knew this girl would either be changed or enhanced by the facts. Being interview shy was definitely not the way to handle it.

Like Trump says, we need to have polished and great candidates (loyal as hell to Trump) ((My opinion)) for the mid terms.
