Here is a perfect example why there are jaywalking laws.

Good. That ticket also gives the driver of the vehicle some cover if the scofflaw goes after him or his insurance company.

Failure to yield his carcass, huh

The recovering patient lies all bandaged up in his hospital bed. He holds a pencil in his mouth, and slowly taps out a message on his Laptop Computer. “First person to say ‘I told you so! No Jay-Walking!!” Get’s the contents of this bedpan in the face!!!”.
The Nurse smiles silently and leaves the room, without making any eye contact.

Here here ! Just the fact that someone has agreed with New Jersey removes them from my “totally with it” list.

A New York City story...
When they redesigned the 'don't walk' signals the early models didn't include the grid cover. Until someone in Brooklyn customized the orange hand. They covered some of the fingers with (black) electrical tape so when the light came on the sign was giving you the finger. Ah, New York!

I asked a bobby if it was legal to jay walk in London and he said yes.

Guy must not have been injured too badly if he could still jaywalk after getting hit by a truck.

Also, almost none of the crosswalk buttons in NYC actually DO anything.

Good thing it wasn’t Trump jaywalking. Democrats would have had him impeached and executed by now
