Top Democrats warn Trump: Don't fire Rod Rosenstein
The Washington Examiner ^ | Feb 2, 2018 | Kelly Cohen

Top congressional Democrats told President Trump on Friday that using the new House Intelligence Committee memo as a pretext to fire Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and therefore halt the Russia investigation would spark a “constitutional crisis.”

Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi of California said in a letter they are “alarmed” at reports that Trump may use the memo “as a pretext” to fire Rosenstein “in an effort to corruptly influence or impede” special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.

“We write to inform you that we would consider such an unwarranted act as an attempt to obstruct justice in the Russia investigation. Firing Rod Rosenstein, DOJ Leadership or Bob Mueller could result in a constitutional crisis of a kind not seen since the Saturday Night Massacre," they said.

Rosenstein is the only Department of Justice official who can remove Mueller, and he was expected to be named in the four-page classified memo made public Friday.

Right. Don’t fire Rosenweasel. As these investigations continue, the rot from within will get him. It’s also catching up with Bob Mueller. The news this week said sentencing of Mike Flynn was to begin. Mueller asked for a delay. He sees the whole rotten plot falling apart, and is ready to quit.

I believe it’s time to investigate Senate Democrats. They are entirely too noisy, and running obvious interference to not be involved in this mess.

“Trump shouldn’t have to fire him. He should do the right thing and resign”

I agree, but demoncrats never do the right thing. They’re amoral. The very thing that makes them who they are.

“A prince, therefore, who wants to guard against conspiracies, should fear those on whom he has conferred excessive favors more than those to whom he has done excessive injury. For the latter lack opportunity, whereas the former abound in it, and the desire is the same in both cases; for the desire to rule is as great as, or greater than, is the desire for vengeance”. They've sure got their Watergate analogies backwards. The Democrats' attempts to suppress this memo would be more the equivalent of Nixon throwing a fit over the Watergate tapes being released. Hillary was all for transparency when it came to the Watergate tapes, but now it's a "constitutional crisis" when her and Obama's crimes get exposed.

When you realize that the rabid lefties in control of our stasi state voted overwhelming for Hillary Rotten Clinton, then you’ll realize the scope of the problem. They’re not in the recesses and shadows of the ship...They’re in control of it.

Rosenslime would be an obscure fed prosecutor in MD if not for Trump’s appointment. From day 1 he pays him back by trying to get him impeached.

Rosenslime needs to be led out in cuffs for perjury, abuse of power, and obstructing justice.

I wonder if dumass sessions still vouches for rosenslimes integrity? Maybe William and Mary can hire him to teach ethics along with comey.

How did Rosenstein get put in this position? Sessions is the one who picked him? All in the name of ‘bipartisanship’?!! Rosenstein has proven to be part of this attempted coup.

Let Rosenstein redeem himself.

Let the Dims twist in the wind like a pinata, as memo after memo, indictment after indictment, comes out ... and the Trump train smashes them to smitherines them in 2018, 2020 and 2022.

The cognitive dissonance is strong with this one.

Regardless of party, Congress has no advise and consent role over firings in the Executive Branch.

Andrew Johnson was impeached, but not convicted, over this. Congress had passed a law, over Johnson’s veto, saying that he could not fire officials without Congress’s approval. The law was later repealed and later Supreme Court rulings implied that the law was Unconstitutional.

So a criminal hires another criminal to carry out a fake investigation and we are not allowed to get rid of the criminal to stop the fake investigation being carried out by another criminal? Fukkyou Chuckyou Schumer!

Mueller is saving his own rear end by remaining exactly where he is.

Now if Trump fires RosenSnooper, that's a different story.
