Trump wanted the dreamers disappointed with the dems, hence the rope-a-dope with DACA. Dreamers ain’t part of Trumps base so it is a no sweat deal for him.

The same “3-d” chess BS doesn’t work with the gun crowd. We gave up on the dem pukes long ago as well as the repub squishes. Any wavering on the 2nd, verbal or actual, destroys his base especially in swing districts. Losing on gun control isn’t going to hurt the dem base, only energize it.

If NRA members stay home, bye bye repub majority and one and out Trump. Stupid strategy playing the NRA like Dreamers. Actually insane.

In this case it isn’t “3-d” chess it is duplicitous.

I’m getting real tired of this “rope-a-dope” and “4D chess” bullshit explanation/defense for everything Trump’s doing.

Amen and AMEN.

I get everything you said, and agree with it.

Still bears no equivalency to ‘Dreamers’.

First of all, not, I don’t think criminals are going to comply with any gun control laws. As I said in another post, if additional laws were the answer, we’d just outlaw crime, then criminals would respond, “Oh no, crime’s against the law! I’ve gotta get a job!” /S

And, as I said later in the same post, the one thing the federal government is very good at is making criminals out of law-abiding citizens...

Trump will lose the election in 2020 if he continues down this path. And he will take a huge number of local conservatives with him because a big chunk of the base will just stay home.

He’s setting up a big Republican defeat in 2018 too.

“Msnbc already tweeting that WH is backing away from some of compromises trump “agreed” to yesterday.”

They weren’t compromises. They were outright surrender of the second amendment.

Trump's enemies take him literally, but do not take him seriously.

Trump's supporters take him seriously, but not literally.

We should communicate our concerns and their reasons, but there's no reason to have a cow, man.
