Democrats' Texas rift shows difficulty in retaking Congress (blue wave fizzling?)

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Democrats are salivating at the prospect of flipping a wealthy Houston enclave that has been solidly Republican since sending George H.W. Bush to Congress in 1967 — the kind of race they'll have to win for any hope of retaking the House in the November midterms.

But their new opportunities, here and in other states, sometimes have them going after each other instead of the Republicans, and that could spoil their chances. Aside from the normal conflicts of ambition and personality, there's a more significant Democratic rift lingering from the 2016 presidential primary between the party's Bernie Sanders progressive wing and its Hillary Clinton establishment.

The tensions clouding the upcoming runoff between the party's top two candidates in the Houston district — corporate attorney Lizzie Pannill Fletcher and activist Laura Moser — could shadow other House races nationwide. Party leaders believe frustration with President Donald Trump, coupled with a surge of energized female candidates, could spell a banner midterm election season. But with so many Democratic candidates in so many districts, party power brokers may try and tip the scales, sometimes with clumsy results.

In Houston, Moser advanced to the May 22 runoff despite opposition from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. The national campaign group published an opposition research memo calling her "a Washington insider who begrudgingly moved to Texas to run for Congress" and targeted her for once joking that she'd rather have "my teeth pulled out without anesthesia" than live in small-town Texas.

Sanders, whose Our Revolution group endorsed Moser, called the party's attack "appalling."

Such tactics go beyond the 2016 fallout to the kind of negative campaigning that is why "so many people are disgusted with politics," Sanders said in an interview with The Associated Press.

They are now way too far left and no longer supportive of American people.

The Democrats never really change. The just try to lie better so they can fool fools to vote against their country and their own best interests.

just a matter of time. The millions upon millions of aztec indians they’ve allowed in will keep breeding and voting democrat. They were going to be hard-working conservative family-oriented Christians. ha. That’s a good one. They will continue to vote for a hundred years for whoever will give them the checks, the free strollers/emergency room healthcare/ food vouchers.

Thankfully their arrogant confidence in showing who they really are and who they are concerned with has been placed center stage for all Americans to see.

from all that I’ve seen over the last several years, the dem’s platform is:

1) hate whitey
2) hate men
3) love illegal aliens
4) open borders forever
5) hate America
6) uproot American history
7) Hate Trump (this could be their #1 platform)
8) openly insult anyone and everyone who voted for Trump

they could also add: repeal tax cuts.

I have not heard a single solitary proposal of any kind that is designed to make American a better place for those who are citizens.

In the pitiful Austin paper this week, they were celebrating all the LBGTXYZ Democrat candidates who won in their primary, including the homosexual Latina who is running to replace our great governor, Greg Abbott.

Strangely, the Democrat Party didn’t let the cat out of the bag about their candidates with odd sexual proclivities during their campaigning. The Republicans can’t be shy about doing that job for them as the campaign season commences.

When mounting a political campaign, you can’t beat somebody with nobody.

The Democrats first have to find credible candidates, somebody who actually has some kind of vision and the charismatic strength to explain it to the prospective voters in a way that both appeals, and shows some practical relationship to their lives. For years Republicans failed to do this, simply assuming that everybody just knew, that the rightness of duty, honor and country were positive virtues.

People do not know this things unless they are first acquainted with them, and have some experience with applying these principles in their own lives. This has become a less and less certain reality for many of recent decades, as the school curriculum has been watered down and diverted from most of its original objectives, with the failure to teach history, the basic principles of civics, and even the courses rooted in science and mathematics. And of course, virtually all reading material is purged of basic lessons in interpersonal relationships, so as not to “offend” certain racial or ethnic demographics.

We have raised a generation of snowflakes, right under our own noses, and ignorance is the scourge of the land.

Ignorance, in and of itself, can be cured, by exposure to facts, but willful ignorance, the total AVOIDANCE of even allowing acknowledgement that a body of learning and philosophy exists out there that preaches ethics, skill and wisdom, and lives by principles that seem foreign and alien to the carefully acculturated mind, seems to dwell forever.

Facts are: the recent Texas Primary results are devastating for the entire Democrat Party...across the board. If the Republicans win the special congressional seat election this coming Tuesday in western Pennsylvania, electing Republican Rick Saccone, the 2018 Mid-Term elections are “Game Over” for the entire Democrat Party, nationwide.

Big Trump/Saccone political rally, tonight in Moon Township, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Thousands expected to turn out to support the POTUS, Trump & Rick Saccone.

The rally will be covered fully by the FNC (7:00PM) and on The Right Side Broadcasting Network,(RSBN) live feed commencing at 3:00 PM. local time. Be there in person or, watching on TV/Live feed, or, be nowhere!!!

Go Trump, Go Saccone, Go MAGA!!!

Incredibly once again the dopey donkeys are making fools of themselves. They believe the fake polls telling them the House is their’s for the taking so they overload the primaries. The general rule is that in evil donkey primaries the communist wins. That, as this piece points out, is shaping up to be a big problem for them.

As far as California races go, the evil donkeys will be very surprised at the Republican turn out. In 2016 there was very little for them to get excited about but now there is.

I have said for the longest time that their projection term Blue Wave is nothing more than a smoke screen for what is really happening, a red tide.

Nope!

The “blue wave” isn’t fizzling, because there never was a “blue wave” to begin with.

Texas turning blue? That’s about as likely as every resident of Berkeley joining The John Birch Society.
