Andrew McCabe was just offered a job by a congressman so he can get his full retirement...

That's one way of protesting Andrew McCabe's firing as deputy FBI director, roughly a day before he was set to retire: At least one Democratic congressman has offered McCabe a temporary job so he can get full retirement benefits — and McCabe appears to be considering.

Rep. Mark Pocan (D-Wis.) announced Saturday afternoon that he has offered McCabe a job to work on election security in his office, “so that he can reach the needed length of service” to retire.

This is fake news. It wasn’t about time....he’s got 21 years with the FBI. It was his age. Having been fired, I don’t think he can tack on.

IIRC, the law was changed a few years ago after Randy Cunningham got convicted of a federal felony and was sent to prison.

To wit, after conviction of a federal crime, a federal retiree looses his/her retirement.

So, if somehow, someway, McCabe “qualifies” for his FBI pension, when he is is convicted (and, he WILL BE CONVICTED!) of multiple federal crimes and sent to prison, he’ll lose his pension.

BTW, since Cunningham was the “trigger” for this law, and it was not in effect when he was convicted, he kept both is Navy and his Congressional pension.

I can offer McCabe a “job” digging a new septic tank, by hand.... so long as he will “work” for free...... for the good experience! Preparing for his new career....

Nah, you are correct. His retirement is only deferred. He will still get it all. Probably better that way anyway.

... and broke his oath of office... and helped lead a seditious conspiracy...
And committed a federal crime in lying to investigators...

I doubt he could pass a background.

I’m told that FERS is the same or very similar to PERS. If true, he will not get the retirement if convicted of a felony. The only thing he would get is his contribution to FERS. They would cash him out and be done.

Put in the time? You need to put down the crack pipe and quit excusing the action that got him FIRED accompanied by the subsequent loss of his pension! Unfrakinbelievable.

The problem I see is that McCabe should have lost his security clearance with his firing. I assume that the congressman will work around that....probably giving him three or four days of employment, and the ‘game’ will wrap up then.

“Election security” = how best to defeat it.

McCabe's new job would be dripping with irony...!

Yes, he put in his time, just like Slick Willy Clinton did.

Who cares about his own perjury, who cares about his suborning perjury from others, who cares about the bribe from McAuliffe, who cares about him prostituting himself to keep a higher ranking criminal out of jail.

But it sounds like working election security for a fellow election-stealing democRat would be a perfect job for a criminal like him.

Hiring this particular WHITE MALE is an extended middle finger to Trump. That's the only qualification that's important.

Good on him. He put in his time.

Wouldn't it be great if we all could retire at only age 50 with full retirement and health care benefits?
