The draft 2018 omnibus bill denies President Donald Trump explicit authority to withhold federal grants from the Democratic-dominated “sanctuary cities” which are trying to secede from the nation’s immigration laws, say Hill sources.
There is “nothing in the omnibus bill to stop funding for the sanctuary cities,” said a source. “It will just be a continuation of the status quo” because Democrats threatened to torpedo the funding bill if it included new rules allowing administration officials to block federal funding to the cities which shield illegals from deportation, the source said.

The GOP is a WORSE enemy. During campaign season, they say every word we want to hear. Then they get to DC and their deep-pocket, globalist, cheap labor owners tell them how they'll vote. Funding Sanctuary Cities is particularly outrageous. Across the political spectrum, US citizens in the real world get it that cheap foreign labor is what's undermining their wages, both abroad and in the US. We real folk also know that people who are in the US illegally are a real problem for those of us who don't live behind a wall.
I think that the GOP and Paul Ryan will be very happy to lose the House this Fall and can then throw in with the Rats to impeach President Trump for being pro American.
