The draft 2018 omnibus bill denies President Donald Trump explicit authority to withhold federal grants from the Democratic-dominated “sanctuary cities” which are trying to secede from the nation’s immigration laws, say Hill sources.
There is “nothing in the omnibus bill to stop funding for the sanctuary cities,” said a source. “It will just be a continuation of the status quo” because Democrats threatened to torpedo the funding bill if it included new rules allowing administration officials to block federal funding to the cities which shield illegals from deportation, the source said.

Ryan and McConnell are the enemies within....we know McConnell is dirty and trying to cover crap up by “defanging” Trump, I wonder what Ryan is hiding from.
Why are we still doing omnibus spending bills rather than returning to regular order with proper appropriations? The Democrats are misusing the filibuster. It is time to get rid of it. The Democrats are the minority party and should be treated as such.

Don’t put it in a bill, just don’t award any grants to those cities when they send in applications. There is a reason it is called a ‘grant award’.

I’ve said for years beware of anything containing the word bipartisan or comprehensive.
