Sorry, but it didn’t.. she didn’t even pull mid term numbers, while the D got near presidential year numbers...
The GOP ecosphere is wholesale incompetent.
They have ever reason they should win and win big this fall, but they won’t because they are clueless.
cripes...thanks for the correction
I’d like to share your optimism about the ‘pubs keeping the US Senate. But then I think of the shenanigans they practice to keep those who support the Trump agenda from winning. The Roy Moore situation is a case in point. That was so bogus, and the ‘pubs didn’t even defend him. Did you notice? Those accusers disappeared after “mission accomplished”. Then there’s the possibility that Romney is part of a majority. He has absolutely no interest in our agenda.
There are 22 seats that are Fem that went for PT, or almost went for him. That may save the majority. I think that the Dems will get to 211, but fall 7 short.
Dem
New York flipped a red seat to blue after it being republican for 40 years!!!! That was seat number 41 that democrats have flipped. Not good.
The “blue wave” concept is nothing more than number four, if I remember correctly, of the seven propaganda techniques we learned about in high school.
Number four is the bandwagon technique — everybody is doing it. All the cool people are doing it, and unless you want to be a weirdo, you will do it too. So, climb aboard the democrat bandwagon, get up their with Twerp Hogg, Anderson Cooper, etc., and vote for all the homos.
There will not be a blue wave in November.
I think the GOP has a real problem. First, they don't really believe anything they've said they do and Trump has made it obvious. But worse, they have to choose between their RINO donors and their voters. Voters want them to do things like stop illegal immigration and end Obamacare, follow through on their promises, support the President. RINO donors want them to promote illegal immigration, extend Obamacare, block the President at every turn.
They've picked the donors because that's what they really want to. They are prepared to lose if necessary. We need to face that. I said it on election night, Trump's biggest problem is going to be getting his own party to work with him. And so it has been.
We already know that the GOP is full of bastards and will be helping their candidates as little as possible. That leaves it up to us; why aren’t we doing anything?
But there is one point here I’d like to make.
The Ds have pulled out all the stops trying to turn these special elections. They dumped an enormous amount of cash and their full propaganda machines into these special elections.
Will they be able to do the same for every single district in the nation come November, or even just the tossup districts?
And by that point, the Trump voters will be paying attention like, unfortunately, many haven’t been.
A morale victory is still an elective loss.
PT hasn’t gunned up the base yet
Only a 6% difference when Trump had a 20% margin of victory and Republicans pumped $1 million into the race over what the Dems spent is worrisome.
Actually, looking at your percent figures, it looks closer to a 5% than a 6% difference.
This is the equivalent of a Democrat only winning by 5 points in urban Detroit. It’s of concern, to say the least.
I see a Red wave that may be small gains in numbers but a huge impact on the playing field. Gains in both houses. The Senate having an outsized impact. We may get 1 or 2 more governors. Challenging because we are defending so many, but a lot are Trump country and about to be Trump country.
