Attorney General Jeff Sessions praised FBI Director Christopher Wray’s testimony on the Justice Department Inspector General report while discussing immigration and law enforcement in Scranton, Pennsylvania Friday.
“I was real proud of Chris Wray, the new director of the FBI, yesterday for his statements on the IG report,” Sessions told Lackawanna College. “We’re not going to be defensive. We’re going to confront any problems, and we’re going to deal with them one-by-one, in a proper, fair, and appropriate way.”
“We’re going to reaffirm and recommit ourselves to the first ideals of that great agency — the FBI — One of the greatest investigative agency, maybe the greatest in the history of the world, as far as I’m concerned,” he added. “If we make a mistake, we’re going to confront it.”
Wray defended the FBI Thursday in response to a scathing inspector general report that heavily criticized the actions of his predecessor in the Hillary Clinton email investigation.
Wray said the report only addresses a specific set of facts and the actions of a handful of officials. He says “nothing” in the report “impugns” the integrity of the FBI workforce as a whole.

Sorry, but I hate this guy.
Sessions, Wray, Gowdy, etc, are so in love with the institution of the FBI that they are utterly oblivious to how seriously corrupt and traitorous this agency has become and appears to most of the public.
None of these people have given me any confidence whatsoever that they grasp how critical it is for them to clean house at these agencies.
That press conference by Christopher Wray was pathetic.
As Jay Sekulow said today, he should have immediately put the 5 FBI agents that the IG referenced for further investigation on leave.
And we lost a Senate seat for this!

Even the Revolutionary War had to have enough people behind it before it was launched with the Declaration of Independence. That’s where slow walking these shames is likeliest to do the needed trick. Donald needed his imperial moral capital right now to handle North Korea. If we got a North Korean nuke on US soil, most people would say that’s worse than a squirming FBI that is under an increasingly bright light and trying to save its own dignity and skin.

Not one of them can actually answer how they can solve the issue, and claim Trump is being mean and cold-hearted by separating families since last month, but obama never did that since we now have zero tolerance.

Yes, I too am proud of Director Wray for instituting the
agency wide objectivity training program everybody missed
in their ‘Investigations 101’ classes. Public sector
or private enterprise everybody always enjoys more
training as opposed to dealing with the few offenders.

Do you ever wonder if one day Sessions received a plain manila envelope full of oh, let’s say less the savory photographs? You know, the kind of photographs that wouldn’t look good for a guy whose Senate career was based on family values?
Or maybe even a copy of a offshore bank account statement belonging to him? You know, the kind with all kinds of interesting financial transactions that a person of his stature would really rather not have to explain?
What other reason can we come up with to explain his unwillingness and/or failure to get to the root of the problem at DOJ?

I’ve been an anti-Sessions Freeper, but one who held out hope that EEE and others were right and I was horribly wrong...
The past few days have tossed any semblance of hope that I had that Sessions was a white hat. He absolutely has to go.
EEE, I’m sorry man, but you have rode the wrong horse. I don’t know what happened to Sessions, but he’s not the man you thought he was — and he’s not going to emerge into that person you hope he is, either.
Sessions is a disaster, and the greatest disappointment I have ever experienced in politics. He has to go. Trump needs to do it now.
