There was a civil war between The Crazy Democrats and The Insane Democrats and the Crazies won. Now they will occupy the Democrat Party and destroy it for us. We should stop focusing on the two-party system in this country and recognize the real underlying influences in U.S. politics.
We have three political movements in this country trying to cram themselves into two political parties. The movements are Globalism (the dominant force in U.S. politics since at least first Bush administration), Nationalism (Donald Trump, a huge swath of American voters, and Trump's small cadre of supporters in Congress), and Marxism (Bernie Sanders supporters and the lunatics looking to take over the Democrat Party).

All California Republicans should vote for de León. He will then be a very low seniority Senator, less power. He will also be so far left that the nation will see the new face of the Democrat party. His legislation will be laughable.
