The Susan Rice and Obama Crime Syndicate deals were the reason I quit after being a member since from nearly the day it first started. I really liked some of their original shows and it was a difficult but correct decision to make in ending my subscription. I have toyed with the idea of joining for one month only about once a year since they release all the episodes of original series all at once and then binge watching it all that month. That way I could get what I want including the joy of terminating service again every year.
I quit after their child porn incident. I was going to after the Obama deal, but that made it imperative. The foreign content and constant gratuitous perversion was too much anyway. I hate having to fast forward constantly or turn off a show because it’s just too vile. People are being desensitized en mass, and the end result is inevitable. Coarsening comes before collapse.

There is so much FREE content on-line, I can't see why people pay for this stuff anymore. For the last month I’ve been watching sewing videos on youtube from a company called sailrite.com and learning how to make awnings for my house and canvass boat top for my boats.
I can do it for half the cost of paying someone, and they are fascinating to watch.
Also, a series of 12 videos on how they built a huge wooden cart for a 20-mule-team borax shipping. The wheels alone were amazing to see built. And you learn so much.
There's mesmerizing glass-blowing videos, tutorials on laying concrete... I've learned more new things online the last couple of years than I did for the last 20
Netflix dropping their rating system for their content was death knell. I can get ratings on amazon prime so that’s what we watch.

It’s not illegal to stream. It’s illegal to download to your hard drive. Exodus (which doesn’t work anymore) streamed, as does Neptune Rising and CCloudTV.
And for $40 a year I use PrivateInternetAccess.com VPN on my dd-wrt router to block my ISP from spying on me.
I do it because that way I am not funding the enemy by paying for cable and Netflix.
Hubris costs a lot today. Ask the FBI.

Kind of interesting since lots of subscriptions are being included in cell-phone contracts......Obama may have not done them any good but I get the sense they are becoming an “icing” rather than the cake....
I use a vpn and stream everything for free. There are movie websites and show websites that have everything on them. Since I’m on the west coast most of the new series shows are uploaded before they even come on out here.
I don’t understand why anyone pays for anything.
I watch everything on my ipad or plug it into my tv if I want to see it bigger. I absolutely love binge watching. My TV hasn’t even been turned on in about 3 weeks.
