“The New York Times and Associated Press both filed requests under the Maryland Public Information Act (PIA) seeking e-mails that Ashley Kavanaugh, the wife of President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, Judge Brett Kavanaugh,” NTK reports.
There is no doubt both news organization are looking for gotcha emails to try and derail Kavanaugh’s nomination. In their requests, the left-wing outlets specifically request any emails with the words “liberal,” “abortion,” and “gay.”
Even the mafia leaves families alone, but not CNN, the AP, and New York Times—not our desperate and hysterical media.

Thomas will likely retire next year. Give Trump a second term and he may be able to replace two more of the liberal wing given the age and health problems. I am surprised that so many justices stay as long as they do.

I don't think the goal is even to derail his nomination. Perhaps they are trying to deter other conservatives. How many put country ahead of family and would be willing to allow their wives to be dragged through the mud by the Fake News media? Many are that patriotic, but I imagine others who would be great judges are more protective of their wives. The beautiful thing is that this might end up helping us by helping to screen out those who cannot stand up to private attacks and public persecution from America's enemies on the Left [Chief Justice Roberts?].

I understand the intent, but it will backfire. Consider this display a public court and the country are the jurors. You can only attack a non-involved party so long before the entire jury turns against you.
They can try and drag family members into it, but I do not think it will give them the result they want going into the midterms.
