The Senate Judiciary Committee hears testimony from Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh and Professor Christine Blasey Ford about her allegations that Judge Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her while the two were teenagers.
“How does someone from Baltimore, Maryland, that is mid 50s but look like 70s have a voice like a little girl with the valley girl thing....”
She looks old! Neck and face looks 80 years old to me. I know people in their 70’s. She looks at least 80 to me.
I agree with you. This prosecutor is asking detailed questions. She has caught her in several lies. If the Senate GOP men were asking these questions, all hell would be breaking lose.

Why exactly does it matter if anyone’s watching? This is not a campaign for an elected office to be voted on by the voters, the people. It doesn’t matter what the people out there think. The Republicans all know the game that’s being played and that if this nomination is cast aside and Kavanaugh is asked to step aside the entire Republican base is going to walk away from the party in the next election who knows how many after that.
THIS is like “Reality TV” .... everything is scripted...

This is NOT about changing anyone’s minds ... the Dems are a “no” vote regardless of the outcome of the hearings - even if Ford was proved to lie about every single one of her accusations. Kavanaugh is a Trump/Republican nominee which is an automatic “NO” vote from Dems and nothing is going to change that. This IS about giving Ford a committee hearing so Repub Senators who require this before they can be convinced to vote for Kavanaugh can be thrown a bone.-——

Sounds to me like Ford spoke of two separate incidents to her therapist. One at 15 (Kavanaugh) and another incident while in her late teens.
From WaPo...”Notes from an individual therapy session the following year, when she was being treated for what she says have been long-term effects of the incident, show Ford described a “rape attempt” in her late teens.”

Her speech appears very coached - trying to depict herself as some sort of very timid, shy, quiet person. It would be very interesting to see and compare this with candid videos of her - at a party or other place where she would have been herself. Don’t know if any of the stories put out online about her and her high school days have any credibility, but simply the fact that she says she and another girl go to an unchaperoned home with 4 older boys sure doesn’t sound like a shy, timid little girl.
Im thinking that ford is hiding the driver because to expose him would mean exposing a crime, statutory rape with a male member of the country club. If so this guy is still on the down low...
Grassley has allowed this hearing to turn into a farce. Grassley should be held accountable for the results and the effect it will have on the November elections.
