The Senate Judiciary Committee hears testimony from Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh and Professor Christine Blasey Ford about her allegations that Judge Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her while the two were teenagers.
One of the biggest in a long time.

It was his mention of his little girl that triggered his tears. Any good father loves their little girls more than anything. His “baby” has been hurt and that breaks his heart.

As a woman who can say #metoo, when I hear her young sounding voice, I think, “how much more vulnerable might she have been when she was 16.” I do wish that the FBI would reopen the vetting, especially with the new “witnesses” and allegations now surfacing.
To your point about face time, I didn't watch or listen to the hearing but it sounds like if there were ground rules, they were not strictly enforced, to the R's disadvantage.
Mitchell may have performed exactly as the R's wished, but we would need inside R thinking to state that confidently.
My view is that we could have easily discredited her without being abusive or unfair, and should have done so. I pointed out upthread that even now the MSM is parading her as the new progressive heroine and she will no doubt be presented as a role model.
That was the moment where he won me over, and I suspect many others as well. As the father of a tender-hearted girl, I know that I would also tear up if I was sharing that kind of story about her. The judge is genuine, and I believe, a very, very good man. He will make a good Supreme.

If Feinstein had not hidden the letter they could have done this back in July, but you see if they had the FBI would have found nothing and they needed to have a weapon to hit with later on as a last gasp.
I was surprised with the normally congenial senators, called her out.
She is compromised. And she knows it.
So sad about your wife. And so young. I can only imagine how that loss impacts a life and emotions forever.
Well to change the subject the new Murphy Brown is on tonight, might have to watch it to see how bad it really is. I watched the Magnum PI reboot and it was appalling and just plain bad.
