The Senate Judiciary Committee hears testimony from Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh and Professor Christine Blasey Ford about her allegations that Judge Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her while the two were teenagers.

If the allegations are false, I could understand him tearing up in anger as Kavanaugh did and wouldn’t hold that against him.

Naw, expense doesn’t matter. I like many kinds of wine including some $3 varieties from Trader Joe. And mostly Pinot Noir. Never Cabernet Savignon, that stuff gives me a headache and I haven’t drank it for years. Remember everything in moderation. ;))

Lighten up, Francis. I was asking a legitimate question. We all know Ford was forcing her cracking voice with no real tears. I’m just asking since I didn’t see Kavanauh’s testimony. A yes or no would have worked. Sheesh
After the female’s performance today (and it was a performance, complete with contrived vocal intonations and well rehearsed lines from a massive notebook of formulated responses) it is apparent that this strategy is the settled upon methodology for ANY nominee from Trump. This must be defeated NOW and the demonrats made to pay for this devilish dead soul strategy. If not on this hill, there may not be another hill upon which to wage the battle with demonic powers destroying America and American rule of law.

She testified that she had not had a drink before coming to that house and only one beer (drink?) after she got there. If the other guy will testify under penalty of law that this did not happen, they were not there, and they were not drunk, then the Republicans ought to be insisting that he be brought in. The fact they are not raises questions.
Given all the media reports about the President’s behavior toward women, why on earth would she think it at all useful to write to the President. I have lived near Washington for a long time and found myself wondering how I would approach getting a story like this to the proper source for action. contacting my Congressman would be one way, but they are awfully busy and get lots and lots of mail.

It's late, and I'm finally getting around to going through the thread from the beginning. Wanted to share my story.
When I was a freshman in high school (1960-61), I became friends with another freshman girl. We hung out after school. She'd come to my home, and I went to hers. One day she confided in me that her step-father was making her watch porn movies, then forcing her to have sex with him, basically recreating what had been on the screen. She also told me that he had made her give him B.J.'s., and that she had saved his sperm in a jar. At that point in my life I didn't even know what a B.J. was. She asked me not to tell anyone about it.
What she told me made my skin crawl, and keeping it to myself went against all I'd been taught. Not long after, I went to the Girl's Counselor, and told her what my friend had told me. Afterwards, I told my friend what I had done. I felt better for having told it, as I felt that my friend wouldn't be subjected to this horrid stuff ever again. But I also felt guilty for betraying her trust.
It all seems like a dream now, but I know it happened, and at times like this, it brings it all back. Well, my friend's mother did not believe her, and my friend was removed from the home, and put in foster care. She stopped going to our school, and I only saw her one more time after that. We met near the home she had been placed in. She didn't hold it against me that I had told her story, and it wasn't until 1965, when I started working for the Department of Childrens' Services that I learned a bit more. I had come across her placement record in the old case files. I took the record to my desk and started reading the transcriptions of the caseworker's comments on her case. Her step-father had indeed been molesting her, and although back then there was no such thing as DNA, they were able to match the blood type with the sperm she had kept in the jar. I believe her step-father was incarcerated at some point, but I don't know for how long. I haven't lived in that city since 1972, but every so often I think about that friend, and what kind of life she ended up having. Could never find any trace of her on the internet.
Her mother did not believe her? Where did her mother suppose she procured semen in a jar?
She said at one point that she went to about 4-5 parties that Kavanaugh was at. I’m wondering if she had the hots for him and he didn’t respond or told her to get lost and she’s carried this as #1 resentment all her life and then, she gets an opportunity to get back at him. Just speculating.
She seems to me to be the kind that has the hots for any guy that is paying attention to her at any given moment.
When this first came out I happened across a link to students’ opinions of their teachers and she was getting creamed. Bad reviews. Many thought she was bat-sh!t crazy and vendictive if you didn’t agree with her 100%. Apparently the school has scrubbed this from the net.
