SJWs Outraged White Actress Will Play African Queen Cleopatra (RUH ROH!)

On Sunday, Britain's Daily Star reported that Lady Gaga and Angelina Jolie — two white actresses — are competing for the role of Cleopatra, sparking outrage across social media. Social Justice Warriors (SJWs) demanded that the African queen should be played by a woman of color, even though the historical Cleopatra was Greek, not black.

"Stop whitewashing Cleopatra!!!" tweeted Kendra James, a writer and editor at Shondaland.com. "Film the story of literally any other queen on the vast African continent."

Guess that probably wasn’t mentioned in article or discussion

It's in the first paragraph.

One woman’s opinion. Whoever plays her has got to have the sass factor going on and I think that lets out Angelina Jolie. Gaga might be able to pull it off, but I think that neither of those two is a good choice really. Beyonce has the wrong look and does nasty much better than the lighter sassy. Just no. I could see some of the spirit of “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” only gone horribly terribly awfully wrong. They need a highly intelligent and unabashedly flirtatious young woman to play this part. If this movie is going to be successful most women are going to have to feel for her. She will have to be likable and funny in order for the pathos to come through. Let’s be honest though. They are going to eff this up like they do just about everything else.

I just asked my SJW employee about this.

She says Cleopatra was dark, but not Nubian.

I said Cleopatra was Greek and in those days Greeks were often blonde and blue eyed.

She all but called me a liar.

I asked if Rhiana should play the role. She claimed she would be more historically accurate. I asked how is it accurate to have a Jamaican play a Greek?

Cleopatra was a European—BUT she embraced Egyptian culture, religion, speech, dress, and hired Egyptians for her Government. She was an Egyptian and loved by the people of Egypt. Egyptians were not racist in any way. As long as you drank from the Nile, Worshiped one of their 3,000 Gods, spoke Copt (the language of Egypt) and liked cats—you were an Egyptian. Race was meaningless and silly to them. So some Pharaohs were Black (fact), some were White (also Fact) most were Brown (Fact). Stop imposing American 21st Century Racism on them.

Elizabeth Taylor was one of the most beautiful actresses ever, especially in that time of her life.

She was unreal in beauty at that age. As she got older a few french fries short of a happy meal.

Exactly, Cleo was a direct descendent of Ptolemy a Macedonian Greek general. She wasn’t an African.

Which would be an anomaly. The Greeks, like the Romans, were Mediterranean-Europeans. Cranial anatomy, aquiline or longer noses, would all be same as other Europeans, be they Slavic, Nordic, Germanic, Celt, etc.

But make no mistake, the ancients Romans and Greeks were did not look like Vikings or Swedes. One only need to read the accounts of the Romans from the times, such as Tacitus, and Ceasar, or the Greek Historians such as Herodotus.

The Afro-Centrist are a bunch of pseudo scientist, but the Nordic-Centrist are just as wacko.

Otzi the Iceman, the oldest complete fossil we have from some 5,000-5500 years ago correlates with Southern Europeans, and among Southern Europeans, Southern Italians, and among Southern Italians, Sardinia. His DNA was sequenced and he would have European facial structure and nose, hair was dark brown with brown eyes, DNA heavily G Haplogroup which is a Haplogroup that was not passed down in large amounts outside of Italy and maybe Greece. In Italy it runs in some places 8-12%.

Misuse of the word “literally” is a dead giveaway of an illiterate. And in this case an ignorant illiterate.

Greeks were not often Blonde and Blue eyed, that is the the WASP and Germanic view point that they were. Read the ancient Greek writers, they will tell you what they looked like. The ancient Romans will as well.

There were two basic Greek groups. The Ionic were what we think of as Mediterranean. For instance Crete and the Greek Islands.

Doric Greeks were taller and often fair haired. For instance Alexander was said to be red headed or blond. Spartans were Doric, Athenians were Ionic.

They spoke the same language so obviously some kinship.

BTW, Ramses The Great who is always portrayed as having black hair was in fact red headed. Red wavy hair.

yarddog:

Often fair haired would mean not the dominate hair and skin type, like all peoples in Europe, some fair hair and light eyed mutations would be there, but not to the level of people living in Northern Europe. Tacitus clearly describes the Germans as overwhelmingly Blue eyed and Red haired. Julius Ceasar the same way and he feared them more than the Gauls, who he thought could be brought into Rome and “civilized” The Germans he said no way, they would need to be conquered, which of course did not happen. The Germans were tough, no doubt, even Tacitus admired them for choosing their leaders based on “Merit” not “political” or “Nepotism” reasons.

Doric Greeks, like Alexander and his progeny, were often fair haired.
