DES MOINES, Iowa Theres not even a kernel of hope for Mayor Bill de Blasio in this decidedly unscientific Iowa State Fair poll.
Even after his food- and game-filled Sunday at the fair where he gave a 20-minute pitch to voters at the famed Political Soapbox the New York City mayor is registering at 0 percent in the fairs corn kernel poll.
Attendees at the fair over the age of 18 can place a kernel of corn into a jar to select their top caucus choice. Around 6 p.m. Sunday, after the mayors tour around the fairgrounds was wrapping up, The Post counted about 23 kernels in his jar. The end-of-day result showed his percentage at zero.
The fair attracts around 1 million people each year.

This Iowa first thing is unconstitutional. Why do we allow a single state to control our lives?
Didn’t he try to ban hot dogs in NYC?
Because it makes a lot of money for the MSM!
To get 0% from a million people is almost a statistical impossibility. Pol Pot would get 12% - people like pot. Stalin would get 8%.
deBlazio sucking that corn dog is his attempt to win over Buttplug supporters
So we allow it for that reason? Oh kay. It clearly runs counter to an election of We The People.
It should have been the “rice kernel” poll, specifically the rice kernel that got stuck in John Kerry’s ass.
You are on the right track with that question. The political parties are private organizations, so they can really decide for themselves how to nominate a candidate. If they want Iowa to go first that is up to the party. IMO what we really need to do is 1) stop using taxpayer money to finance political primary elections because they are private organizations and 2) stop listing political party on the ballots in general elections. Listing R or D or L or G on the ballot makes about as much sense as listing your religious congregation, fraternal membership, country club or any other private organization. It is a private organization - just because the parties are more politically oriented doesn’t make it more important than other affiliations. We need to get rid of this game of political parties and their influence peddling and focus on people, policy, ideas & accomplishments.
We agree, the problem is how to implement it. The traitorous SCourt cannot even prpoerly uphold a cross for Pete’s sake.
How many jack-booted kicks does Kaiser Wilhelm have to take to the head before he gives up?
If he was going to change his name early in life, probably Warren Peace might have been a better choice.
Banned meat in schools on Mondays to stop global warming, then declared the corndog a "health food" at the Iowa State Fair.
This photo was taken right before he jammed the entire thing down his throat repeatedly without gagging
I am not saying I agree with it!
But its a huge moneymaker for TV & the MSM and I guess there’s entertainment value there. You know - waving shiny objects in front of the viewers. (They’re proven time & again they like it!) People have bought into to it as a “necessary component of democracy”.
Theyre = They’ve
This is the secret of the Iowa primary. If they get a photo of you eating a corn dog you are finished.
Full results here. Tulsi Gabbard is at 4% beating Beto, Gillibrand, Castro, and Klobuchar.
Well, I guess they at least had some fun at the fair.
Exactly my point. Another “laws are for thee not for me” leftist, and/or hypocrite telling Iowa farmers a different story than he tells NY voters.

Until 1976 the New Hampshire primary was the first event in the election campaign. Jimmy Carter was the first one to pay attention to the Iowa caucuses and to make them the launching pad for a successful campaign.
