Pete Buttigieg is dropping out of the 2020 presidential primary race, a senior campaign aide told CNBC.
He is flying to South Bend, Indiana to make the announcement, where he served as mayor for two terms.
The Indiana Democrat waged an unlikely campaign that saw a little-known mayor overpower governors and U.S. senators in the race for the party nomination.
Along the way, Buttigieg assembled a substantial war chest and a vast national operation. A two-term mayor of South Bend, Indiana, Buttigieg was the first openly gay major presidential contender. He scored a narrow delegate edge over Sen. Bernie Sanders in the Iowa caucuses and finished a strong second place in New Hampshire’s primary.

Not that I would be voting for any of them but why would Pete drop out ? He was doing okay (at least better than Warren and Klob). Must be getting some kind of back room deal.

He’s probably the catcher so there’s no pulling out.
My guess is that a deal benefits Sanders the most, if he could get Buttigieg to stop siphoning away delegates that Sanders needs to win the majority and avoid a brokered convention.

Soon gays will have no place in the democrat party, but you wont hear that secret ploy from them directly.
He is scheduled a rally for Monday in Austin.
I’m really going to miss not seeing him kiss his partner on that platform at the DNC Convention this year.
I was hoping all those still in would stay in until the convention.I want to see Sanders NOT get an actual majority of delegates and get euchred out of the nominationi. That will keep most of his partisans home in the election, or voting for Trump for spite.
I think the DC might like to place him on the debate stage next to Mike Pence......what evil people they are
