Former Vice President Joe Biden is not mentally fit for the presidency, and he would likely become a “puppet” for the “deep state,” several Michigan of swing voters said during an Axios focus group session released Monday. The focus group included nine people who voted for former President Barack Obama in 2012 but voted for President Donald Trump in 2016. Seven of the nine swing voters said would vote for Trump in November’s election, Axios noted in a report Monday on the group.

The implication in this admittedly small sample is that 9 people voted for Trump, but only 7 will vote to re-elect him.

We have some work to do.

the Democrat party is now the Democrat Nazi Communist party. Its tragic but it sure isn’t the D party of our parents and grandparents’ generations

anyone voting D this time is either suicidal or else an enemy agent trying to help the D’s subvert America from within

Assuming that’s true in Michigan it seems likely that it’s also true in Ohio and Wisconsin. It could even be true in Pennsylvania...at least the parts west of Philly.

That Biden is a puppet is unquestionable. The real question is by who?

Why do you people accept the premise that Trump is in trouble in ANY of the states he won? There was a survey showing John James up over Gary Peters by 16 points. Another showed Peters with only 28% saying he deserves re-election. Does it make any sense that James wins big while Trump losesNone at all.

One more point, with 77% of Americans (yes I know. I said Americans) saying that they would not tell a stranger they are backing Trump this makes this survey as suspect as the others.

I don't follow Michigan polls. Actually, I'm not paying attention to any of the polls at this point. I commented simply on the responses of 9 alleged independents who voted for Trump in '16. What I really wanted to see was a reason why two of them would be voting for a guy who won't leave his basement and can't put two declarative sentences together.

If John James wins in Michigan, Trump wins Michigan. I hope the poll you cite accurately reflects what's happening on the ground there now. John James would be an excellent addition to the Senate.

I honestly don't understand how anyone who can think and is interested enough to listen to some of Biden says, could ever vote for him.

Focus groups are un-assuming and they start off pretty easy so that you are comfortable. They ask several questions that lead up to the big question.

I was involved in one in Bellevue, Washington in the late 90’s that dealt with removing the Snake River dams to “restore” the steelhead runs and was the only conservative in the group. This was group was hired out of the Colorado State University to host these type of groups and they actually paid us $100 for our time.

All the lead up questions were designed to get you to agree with the basis for the poll, that in the end this will be a great thing, plus the $100 incentive they paid was a psychological tactic to ingratiate you to them. They paint a rosey picture of the future outcome. In my case though they left out the economic impact, so at the end they went around the table and the the first guy said yes he would support $/month on his power bill to pay for the restoration of the steelhead. I was next and agreed that it al sounded great and then went point by point with reason and logic. THe next 10 people admitted that they would have supported it but after my argument they changed their mind. Even the first guy that spoke then changed his mind.
