New polling shows Sen. Ed Markey of Massachusetts opening up a lead over Democratic challenger Rep. Joe Kennedy III with less than a week to go until their Senate primary showdown in an increasingly bitter contest that’s grabbed national headlines.
According to a Suffolk University poll released on Wednesday, Markey leads Kennedy 51%-41% among likely Massachusetts Democratic primary voters. A survey released hours earlier by the UMass Lowell Center for Public Opinion also indicated the senator with a small double-digit advantage over his challenger, who is the grandson of the late senator and U.S. Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy and grandnephew of the late President John F. Kennedy.
The Kennedy family name still holds magic for many Massachusetts Democrats — and for months, polls indicated a close contest.

In IL however, I’d have preferred Chris Kennedy to Prickzer as Governor, even though I’d been dreading Chris running for years, such irony.
I was reading some stuff about the rarely criticized Saint Bobby Kennedy in one of Caro’s LBJ bios. One time he went sailing with a friend who couldn’t swim or sail, the wind died and fearing Joe’s wrath if he was late to lunch, Bobby bailed and swum to shore, left his buddy in the boat. He was in early 20’s at the time and never even apologized. Guy was a nasty POS, quite possibly the worse President we never had, Joe Sr’s true heir.
Shiva is the ex-husband of moonbat Fran Drescher. He’s a decade younger, so no idea why he married her (it didn’t last long).

I don’t see the point with cheering on an incumbent with a 100% moonbat record for someone with a 110% one. Let the crazies devour themselves. I keep wondering when Baker will make it official and switch parties. He’s no more a Republican than his execrable predecessor, Devil Patrick.

Be careful what you wish for. I don’t expect him to win reelection, so the Combine might just shove him out in favor of Chris Kennedy or someone else.

Let us not forget he was the Kennedy Family enforcer. I think he oversaw Marilyn Monroe’s execution by drugs as she was on the brink of spilling the beans on her affairs with the brothers. That would’ve destroyed them for 1964, so much so that it probably would’ve even forced JFK to step aside. An affair with one of them was one thing, her being “shared” would’ve reviled a public that had far higher moral values at the time. It would’ve been breathtaking to see the pro-Kennedy media spin at the time to defend their saints (poor Marilyn would’ve been painted as a “deranged, lying slut” — hell, Joe DiMaggio probably would’ve killed the brothers with his bare hands).
Ah, if only that had happened. A debunked Kennedy family exposed as sex predators and deviant creeps, and everyone following them painted as such. How much better and greater would our country be today ?
