can you at least give us a short synopsis of why you are posting this?
There are jillions of ‘very interesting’ things on the interwebs
Yes, very interesting. There are a couple surprises like New Mexico and Oregon. And ps - I’m very proud of Texas.
States donating the most to Donald Trump vs. Joe Biden
On Nov. 3, those Americans who didnt vote by mail or vote early in person will head to the polls to determine whether Republican Donald Trump deserves another term or if Democratic challenger Joe Biden should take over Trump's job. Both parties have painted the contest as the most important election in American history. The realities of COVID-19 and a level of polarization unprecedented even in the long-divided United States has shaped this election cycle as one of the tensest and unusual in memory. One thing, however, hasnt changedthe whole thing is awash in money.
Stacker analyzed campaign finance data from the U.S. Federal Election Commission to rank the list according to the numerical difference between individual donations to Donald Trump and Joe Biden. Donation amounts cover the period of time between Jan. 1, 2019, and July 31, 2020, and have been rounded for clarity.
Beyond that data, both candidates raised staggering sums in August to add to the already enormous GOP and Democratic campaign war chests. Biden shattered the previous record with a $365 million haul during the last month of summer. Trump also took in a big haul, but news broke in early September that his 10-figure campaign cash advantage dried up.
Adding to the outpouring of cash are several closely watched and hotly contested down-ballot races that could mean the difference between Democrats flipping the Senate to control both houses of Congress no matter who wins the White House.
With so much at stake, donors are digging deepbut the candidate for whom theyre doing that digging often has a lot to do with where they live. Keep reading to learn about which states are home to the donors that are willing to part with the most hard-earned cash in support of their candidate of choice.
Example: In Texas: Trump got 21 million more than Biden in donations.
Biden is only ahead one million in California? Seriously?
Shocking that in Ill-Annoy, Biden is $7.1M, Trump $7M. Maybe Trump will take Ill-Annoy! Wow!
It’s very interesting.
Trump has a huge lead in solid red states, and a substantial lead in many others.
Meanwhile Biden has a slim lead in what should be solid Blue states.
Trump is even outraising Biden in Minnesota.
People tend to vote their wallets.....
How much of that record 340 million that Biden raised in August was bundled and contributed by his favorite state - China?
How can anyone seriously add any weight to this data or come to a conclusion that one candidate has the edge over another.
There is so much Tom foolery going on in campaign donations and illegal money changing hands that only a fool would find this data substantiated.

Interactive map showing who has the fundraising advantage.
What’s interesting: only New York, Massachusetts, & Maryland are “deep blue”. For their size, CA & WA give only a slight advantage to Biden. Illinois is practically even. Oregon is pink. Other northeastern states tend toward blue, but only a little.
A popular incumbent, noted for winning despite spending ~1/3rd vs his big-name opponent, has tremendous per-dollar voting advantage.
That's pretty weak, considering he still lives there and was a high-profile senator for 35 years.
China may love Joe, but the people in his own states seem much less enthusiastic.
Donations to campaigns can be informative. The PAC’s are the ones who F up the system. Bloomberg in FL as an example. Soros isn’t just donating to candidates.
I hope the results on election night are uncontestable.
It’s an interactive map. When you place your cursor on a state it tells you who got the most in donations, Biden or Trump, and how much more in dollar amount.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
very interesting.
makes me feel much better.
hope this is an indication of the way the electoral college goes, too.
This data is definitely something to consider. No ones a fool for hashing it out.
This is very interesting. I may be able to shed some light on the differential in PA. The money going to Biden is primarily coming from suburban Philadelphia. I’d bet Biden has received more dollars per capita from Lower Merion Township than any other part of the state.
Excellent. Thanks for posting.
Based on that map, excluding cities, the entire rural west coast is for Trump, Illinois, Pennsylvania and New Jersey are for Trump. In fact I never thought I would see New Jersey donating more for a Republican. The solution is simple make cities illegal...
