can you at least give us a short synopsis of why you are posting this?

There are jillions of ‘very interesting’ things on the interwebs

From an adjoining article. It then lists all 50 states and their FEC reported campaign donations. The link is to a graph showing the various states and their color coded donations. It is interesting.

States donating the most to Donald Trump vs. Joe Biden

On Nov. 3, those Americans who didn’t vote by mail or vote early in person will head to the polls to determine whether Republican Donald Trump deserves another term or if Democratic challenger Joe Biden should take over Trump's job. Both parties have painted the contest as the most important election in American history. The realities of COVID-19 and a level of polarization unprecedented even in the long-divided United States has shaped this election cycle as one of the tensest and unusual in memory. One thing, however, hasn’t changed—the whole thing is awash in money.

Stacker analyzed campaign finance data from the U.S. Federal Election Commission to rank the list according to the numerical difference between individual donations to Donald Trump and Joe Biden. Donation amounts cover the period of time between Jan. 1, 2019, and July 31, 2020, and have been rounded for clarity.

Beyond that data, both candidates raised staggering sums in August to add to the already enormous GOP and Democratic campaign war chests. Biden shattered the previous record with a $365 million haul during the last month of summer. Trump also took in a big haul, but news broke in early September that his 10-figure campaign cash advantage dried up.

Adding to the outpouring of cash are several closely watched and hotly contested down-ballot races that could mean the difference between Democrats flipping the Senate to control both houses of Congress no matter who wins the White House.

With so much at stake, donors are digging deep—but the candidate for whom they’re doing that digging often has a lot to do with where they live. Keep reading to learn about which states are home to the donors that are willing to part with the most hard-earned cash in support of their candidate of choice.

Shocking that in Ill-Annoy, Biden is $7.1M, Trump $7M. Maybe Trump will take Ill-Annoy! Wow!

How much of that record 340 million that Biden raised in August was bundled and contributed by his favorite state - China?

How can anyone seriously add any weight to this data or come to a conclusion that one candidate has the edge over another.

There is so much Tom foolery going on in campaign donations and illegal money changing hands that only a fool would find this data substantiated.

This is very interesting. I may be able to shed some light on the differential in PA. The money going to Biden is primarily coming from suburban Philadelphia. I’d bet Biden has received more dollars per capita from Lower Merion Township than any other part of the state.

It doesn’t correspond at all, but if this were the electoral map, it would be Trump 344-Biden 194. Biggest win since 2008.

do keep in mind that the map just shows the donations to the campaigns themselves, which have Federal limits on donations of about $2,800 per person, and therefore represent only a small fraction of the total donations since the BIG, unlimited donations go to various PACs supporting the candidates ...

That is very interesting! Thanks for sharing. Trump leads even in Hawaii, which is surprising.
