WASHINGTON (AP) — Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell implored unvaccinated Americans Tuesday to take the COVID-19 shot, issuing a stark and grave warning of a repeat of last year’s shutdowns if people refuse to protect themselves from the coronavirus.
McConnell urged Americans to ignore the “demonstrably bad advice” coming from pundits and others against the vaccines. As caseloads skyrocket, he noted that nearly all the new virus hospitalizations in the U.S. are among people who have not been vaccinated.
“If there is anybody out there willing to listen: Get vaccinated,” McConnell, R-Ky., said at his weekly press conference at the Capitol.
“These shots need to get in everybody’s arms as rapidly as possible or we’re going to be back in a situation in the fall that we don’t yearn for — that we went through last year,” he said. “This is not complicated.”
McConnell has been one of the most outspoken members of his party in urging vaccinations to stop the virus spread, speaking often in his home state of Kentucky of the need for people to get the shot.

Ibelieve #4 are UK numbers and the minister of mumbling corrected it to 60% unvaccinated. According to the UK, 90% of those over 75 have had two doses. That leaves 10% unprotected, who are more likely to be hospitalized/die. Haven’t found UK numbers specifically on reinfection, but the Cleveland Clinic did a study of their medical people and found a 0.3% reinfection rate after full vaccination, with no deaths (bearing in mind these are reasonably healthy working-aged people with 2 or less comorbidities). A separate study on previously naturally infected found 84% protection from reinfection, or 16% reinfection rate
#5 recovery rate - a red herring. It’s been said that 1/4 of all covid survivors will have some sort of either short-term or long-term disability; ‘long covid’ brain fog and lung problems are two biggies.

Morbidities in general. Many studies have pointed to ability to produce antibodies as a key indictor. Antibody production in infected/vaccinated is dependent on existing morbidities.
You’ll have to do a little math to change percentages into population numbers but just from the percentages, it’s not a pretty picture of those whose immune systems may have a hard time rallying, regardless of vaccine or naturally infected.:

Exactly.
How many Americans like myself have had Covid and survived it? There are many millions in this category. Are they counting us as unvaxxed?
There is no reason in the world for Covid survivors to take an unapproved, and production rushed vaccine that has already shown to be deadly and debilitating for some who have taken it. Plus, we don’t know how this new DNA manipulating jab will affect long term health.
I smell a rat when the government is nearly hysterical and will try anything to get that poison in our bodies.
Frankly I think the Feds want this.......They think they know what is good for "us" .

You may be right, but at some point there are no other options.
My unvaccinated wife was diagnosed with COVID a year ago. She had cold symptoms for a couple of days. No big deal. We lived our lives as a normal happily married couple the whole time. I, unvaccinated and never having previously had any symptoms of COVID, did not get it. I'm 62, in good health, and take Vitamin D supplements every day. Neither me nor my wife is getting the jab.
For one thing, I’ll never accept a shot “in the arm” ever again. Butt only for me going forward.
I got tendinitis/vaccine induced left shoulder bursitis twice in the past 3 years: once from a flu shot and then more severely from the covid shot. I couldn’t use my left arm from March until last week.
Its the new delta plus. Highly more infectious and lethal.
Doesn’t respond to monoclonal antibodies. Very low response to the vaccines antibodies. I think I read 50%.
Also delta is a super mutator, and it takes its super high infectivity with it when it changes

The number of healthy individuals, 18 years or younger, that died with covid is exactly Zero.

The leftists are just chomping at the bit to impose lockdowns on us again.
They hate, loathe, and generally despise the thought that others are free and they cannot control them.
And if it isn’t, nobody is going to know because the media will simply tell us what the left wants us to hear.
And if there isn’t a real flu season to freak out about, they will just fabricate one and about half the populace will believe them anyways.
Good for McConnell and Hannity and Trump too. I hope more step up. He knows what is like having Polio when younger and the importance of vaccines. Of course, lots of folks on this board will slam McConnell and will continue to just cheer on the virus just so they can win an argument on a conspiracy theory. Just bizarre.

nearly all the new virus hospitalizations in the U.S. are among people who have not been vaccinated.
Then why are almost 90,000 people dead after taking the vaccination?
More people are dying (per day) from the under reported vax deaths than they are dying from the Wuhan Virus and its variants. These people are being treated as if their deaths were un-vaxed cases to empower a political narrative.
I guess these people didn’t make it to the hospital.
Remember when this country had “public servants”? I do. That’s not what these people are.
