It took me 3 hours to finally hear this on a replay of a news conference on Fox news. How many Freeper's have dramatically altered their life to work on mindfulness? Am I uniquely naïve for wondering this?

I'm sure there was overwhelming pressure on her to participate this year but I don't think her heart was in it, especially when she could have retired after last year's olympics had it been held.
Can't blame her one bit, she was the best and unfortunately the MSM and the sports world elevated her to a standard that was almost impossible to meet.........

Maybe, but you have to admit that the press is insane. Remember the Mayor Pete puff pieces, or how about Beto O’Rourke? Remember how stalkery fawning and insane all of that was? Now just think about this press, this stalkery insane identity politics obsessed press, and think about the fact that Simone Biles actually has got skills, she isn’t just wishful thinking like Beto was. Add to that the fact that the press can turn on you too, Trump derangement syndrome is an example.

When you train for so many years, it puts a strain on the body for repair. One of the medications she was taking while competing in the Olympics was Ritalin, a stimulant. The testing on this drug, being used for ADD, has been inconclusive on performance capacities, and it was allowed to be used within medical standards that are not exactly defined. But it is a stimulant and a number of athletes in history have been DQed for their use at the Olympics. She might have considered it might be time to bail. As the drug increase exists. She’ll get into the booth if they can afford to live with her activism actions.
