The battle over reparations is growing across the United States, as local, state and federal officials weigh everything up to seven-figure direct payments to Black Americans.
While some advocates call it a long-overdue policy addressing a history of oppression, its foes call it a misguided, divisive and harmful approach that exacerbates issues rather than solving them. Polls show it is broadly unpopular with Americans, but it nevertheless has received serious attention in both Washington and municipalities around the country.
Rep. Cori Bush D-Mo., alongside several other progressive lawmakers, unveiled the Reparations NOW resolution last week, calling for $14 trillion in reparations for Black Americans.

Reparations is just another vote-buying scam.
Like welfare. EBT. Food stamps. Student loan forgiveness.
It will never end, as long as there are elections.
Just like in 2008 when they told us that electing Obama would prove that we're no longer a racist nation. Rush was right when he said that Obama in the WH would make everything about race and they'd ratchet up the accusations of racism more than ever. Reparations is no different.

This PROVES the rodents are losing Blacks and the Black vote for Trump as reported was a lie.
The Democrat/communists literally want to buy Black votes with our money.
To make any reparations payment at all would be to acknowledge the legitimacy of demanding reparations, of which there is none. This has to be stopped everywhere.
So fighting a Civil War, Civil Rights movement, decades of generational welfare, etc... Still wasn’t enough?

That's the part I just don't understand... they're already getting 90% of that bloc and it's not like the GOP is going to take it away in huge numbers if they _don't_ pursue this. IMHO, they stand to lose a LOT more voters from those not cashing in, so why risk that?
And determining whose ancestors were and were not slaves is problematic, if not impossible, to ascertain. Slaves were considered property (and included on tax rolls) and not people (making the census useless).
And then there are the questions of freedmen who owned slaves themselves and descendants who are mixed blood.
So in short, these race baiting morons are really setting themselves up for a real administrative and legal mess in determining who and who is not a descendant, the 14th Amendment "Equal Protection" Constitutional issue aside.
The Democrats owe white people reparations for demonizing them with racism and hate.
They will get their $ from city and move the hell out.
If politicians want a mass-exodus of non-blacks from cities or a state, they merely need to start spouting reparations that will be paid from taxes or worst - reparation taxes targeted at non-blacks.
In the spirit of true caring make it 3/4 of the way.
This wouldn’t be happening unless the corporations figured out that they would wind up getting all the money in the end.
Media to black people now: “You’re going to get millions of dollars each.”
Media to black people next year: “Trump won’t let you have your millions.”
