I don’t expect any results until about 9pm. In addition to selecting a presidential candidate, they also talk about platform points. The ones I went to years ago ran late because of disagreements over platform, and I’m pretty sure they didn’t announce the vote until all business was completed.

However, that was before cell phones and the internet, so I don’t know how things work now.

From what I’m understanding, the Democrats are doing a ranked choice primary in which more people can participate since it’s via mail, while the Republicans are stupidly following caucus rules that only allow those who can physically meet to vote.
