The following essay is adapted from the author’s new book, Pagan America: The Decline of Christianity and the Dark Age to Come.
It’s hard to survey the state of our country and not conclude that something is very wrong in America. I don’t just mean with our economy or the border or rampant crime in our cities, but with our basic grasp on reality itself.
Our cultural and political elite now insist that men can become women, and vice versa, and that even children can consent to what they euphemistically call “gender-affirming care.” In a perfect inversion of reason and common sense, some Democratic lawmakers now want laws on the books forcing parents to affirm their child’s “gender identity” on the pain of having the child taken from them by the state for abuse.
Abortion, which was once reluctantly defended only on the basis that it should be “safe, legal, and rare,” is now championed as a positive good, even at later stages of pregnancy. Abortion advocates now insist the only difference between an unborn child with rights and one without them is the mother’s desire, or not, to carry the pregnancy to term.
But even less contentious issues are now up for grabs, like mass rape. After Hamas terrorists filmed themselves raping and murdering Israeli women on Oct. 7, boasting about their savagery to a watching world, vast swaths of the America left still cannot bring themselves to condemn Hamas. The same progressive college students who insist that the mere presence of a conservative speaker on campus makes them “unsafe” are unable to condemn one of the worst instances of mass rape in modern history. Some even declare openly that they stand in solidarity with the Hamas rapists.
What is happening? Put bluntly, America is becoming pagan. SNIP>>>

Yes, we agree. Socialism is a Satanic doctrine, trying to replicate the most high.
Those who follow it want the blessings of God, but not God. It’s a fulfillment of II Tim 3:5 as I understand Scripture.
Yes, I do remember Miss Cleo.
I believe at one point, Dione Warwick was working with or helping to promote Ms Cleo to others in the entertainment world. Dione msy have been impressed with Cleos talent for convincing people to take “her psychic revelations” seriously enough to spend money on them.
Christian nationalism will not solve it because it cannot address the cause of our problem and that is the desire to be autonomous from God.
We’re under Romans 1:18-32 judgement now, where we have been given over to our own minds. We’re just starting to realize how horrible being free of God is.

It is certainly the wealthiest nation. The one that leads or at least influences all others as no country has ever done.
It started as a good land and has become corrupted, pagan, and evil.
The pure women of virtue that is Columbia has become the whore of Babylon, drunk on the blood of saints and innocents.
So, why would God withhold His judgment against this land?
We haven’t filled our cup yet, though we are well on the way to doing that.
I think God is waiting until all that will repent have done so. Then God’s Judgement on the nation will come. As long as there is hope for repentance, God will wait.
I predict a religious revival that will sweep the land. It may come due to war or rebellion—but it will come and not from the main stream churches that have sold out—old time gospel that would make Billy Graham proud. Tent revivals and a come to Jesus moment that will sweep Hollywood and even the upper crust of society and the world of politics. Its coming. It will come from the young people Gen-X who will pull the nation back to Christ.
I’m a practicing pagan.

According to the clues in Revelation 13.
It rises out of the earth, meaning few people.
It started out like a lamb, but ended up like a dragon.
It had the power to force everybody to worship the First Beast
It will become a persecutor nation of God’s people.
It rose at around the same time the First Beast suffered a deadly wound.
Didn’t America rise out of a new land?
Didn’t America start out as a nation that a person could worship freely?
The First Beast’s wound was Napolean’s arrest of the pope in 1789. America became a nation in 1776.
Isn’t America a powerful nation. the most powerful on earth?
Do you not see how America is becoming a persecutor nation of God’s people?
The 60s were a high point of new age paganism in California. Christianity seems to have survived that.
The more real threat is the mass importation by the millions of Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism thanks to our immigration policy since 1965.
Unlike American hedonism masquerading as paganism, those are real religions with centuries of rivalry to Christianity. And our business and political elites will happily replace Christian culture with them.

“New land” is not mentioned with respect to the second beast.
The Beast was around in Jesus’ day. So the deadly wound of Revelation 13:3 had to have happened a lot earlier.
The false prophet, aka the second beast, looks like a lamb and speaks like a dragon, not starts out as a lamb and becomes a dragon.
America’s enemies claim it’s the most powerful nation only as an excuse to weaken it. And the persecutors of believers in God are allies of foreign nations who have infiltrated the country.
Yes, may he be as fortright and zealous as Jehu, and as wise as Augustus, who brought back law and order to the Roman Empire after the depredations of the long civil war.
That’s your understanding, but it’s not mine.
I just shared what I understand and how I understand it. You will see if you are right in the end.
I used to be SDA, but I’m not anymore because I find they abandoned their mandate to allow God’s word speak for itself and not hold onto any notions that are proven wrong and be willing to adopt doctrine as it is proven correct.
However, I am convinced they are correct on this one bit of prophecy and they will be proven correct about the US. All the clues fit about the US being the Second Beast of Revelations.
