This is Japan's chance to help the coalition. Let's put them in charge of prisoners.
I'm sure there's somewhere over there they could march these ragheads to.

See in that second paragraph referring to OBL, "alleged terrorist mastermind". I thought we all got past that "alledged" stuff.

Al Quaeda can't be allowed to surrender or we are negotiating with terrorists.
To: Freedom of Speech Wins; kattracks
Yeah I was going to say the same thing. We should we let them surrender now.

They did use the word 'terrorist' though. I don't think OBL is there, he has no backbone to face the United States, rather a sissy who hides at the first sign of trouble. Ha, I have to laugh at these 'warriors' who can only attack old men, women and children. When faced with real men of the United States, they are pathetic.

OBL may not be there. However, I think he is weakened and will have a hard time at his next destination. More bombs please wherever that might be.

Watch out for the problem in the POW camp, be sure to search them well. (And stay out of the camp people.)

I know what you mean. At least when Americans choose to fight to the death they mean it (e.g., The Alamo). These guys are all talk.

The commander added that the prisoners would be turned over to the United Nations and not the U.S. military. He did not clarify if that was one of the conditions of the surrender agreement. Right there, that tells me that this is BS. There are no UN personnel in Afghanistan to take control of any prisoners. Nor will we allow them.

"The commander added that the prisoners would be turned over to the United Nations and not the U.S. military. He did not clarify if that was one of the conditions of the surrender agreement"THAT is why I've never trusted those surrender "negotiations". We'll never know WHAT was rally agreed on.

I'll bet bin Laden the son of Satan is there and that is why they will only accept the UN to surrender to.
To: kattracks
Every time these guys negotiate a surrender, the really bad guys seem to get away. Lets hope the Northern alliance won't let that kind of crap happen again.

Yep, our men are still men afterall despite NOW's efforts to sissify them!
This morning I thought about OBL wife. It could be a pretty crafty move of hers to say that he'd commit suicide. When/IF he doesn't, he'll look like a coward to his people. I think she may have done this to make him look bad. Pay back for marrying a 17 year old.

families belonging to bin Laden's men came down from the mountain earlier in the day. Yeah, that 6 foot five grandma with the razor-burn and stinky burka must have been scurrying quickly down the mountainside with the kids...

Giving over to the UN is again a bunch of BS. First we have some clown in UK saying Bin won't go to the US and now this. Bush needs to lay the law down with these people.
I guess this is the price you pay for a casualty minimizing strategy. Hollow victories.
