Disappointing, if true. Scientologist (which almost automatically means headcase), liberal, unwatchable.

I'll take my evening walk during her show.

FOX never was conservative -- but they were relatively fair and balanced as advertised. Now, they are becoming unbalanced -- to the Left! This is expected from mainstream media. I have stopped watching everything on FOX except for O'Reilly and if he doesn't give sufficient coverage to the Geraldo lie, I am going to stop watching him, too. His "No Spin" zone will have become just another "No Coverage" zone!

Greta Van Susteren jumps from CNN to Fox News Channel

(01-02) 10:22 PST NEW YORK (AP) -- CNN personality Greta Van Susteren is jumping to Fox News Channel, continuing the lively rivalry between the two cable news networks.

Van Susteren, who rose to prominence at CNN as an on-air legal analyst during the O.J. Simpson trials, had until recently been host of two daily programs on CNN.

Fox News Channel plans to install Van Susteren as host of its 10 p.m. talk show. It has been looking for a regular host there since Paula Zahn left for CNN in September, a move that caused some bitterness at Fox.

"Greta has distinguished herself in both the legal and journalism fields and has also demonstrated an ability to attract a loyal viewership," said Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes.

In addition to filling a prime-time slot at Fox, Van Susteren's departure creates a hole at CNN. She had most recently been host of "The Point," a show created for her, that ran at 8 p.m. ET.

Van Susteren had also been a co-host of the daytime legal program "Burden of Proof," but that was cancelled after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. Roger Cossack, her co-host on that show, was let go by CNN last month.

"The Point" was pre-empted frequently for news. CNN was regularly running a "Live from Afghanistan" program in the time slot over the holidays.

Kate Snow will replace Van Susteren on "The Point," at least temporarily.

Geraldo, now this? Is Fox trying to become indistinguishable from CNN?

My thoughts exactly.

...GRETA VAN SUSTEREN = JOHNNY WALKER..."

...=Johhny Cochran = Bonior = Daschole = JJ = Rev Blimpton = CBSNBCCNNABC = Terry McAuliffe = Adolf Hitler AND Joe Stalin = Satan =...
Well, you get the idea.
The list easily goes-on ad infinitum, forevermore.
There's no shortage of tratorous, America-hating Leftists.

...because after all; they're all just one, big, happy family.

GRETA -- if FOX is going to hire someone for the 10pm slot - and they needed to - why not go after Catherine Crier - she's great and would at least add some intelligence to that time slot!!

Either they're attempting to infultrate FOX, or they're starting to realize the right is, of course, always right!
Maybe they want to be on the winning side as the poop is hitting the liberal fan!

Oh I agree. They may not have been traditionally conservative, but they were enough to the right to capture a big piece of the conservative viewers. And now they are moving more toward the center. We'll see- or not. I'll be waiting to hear how she'll be used on the network. Right now, the only reason to watch is O'Reilly and Hannity and Colmes. Fox and Friends is nice too.

..."If a more conservative tone will bring in more viewers, then that's what they'll give us. Just follow the money. My bet is that Greta will start sounding more conservative. It's not about what the talking heads truly believe, it's about what they want us to think they believe."...

Amen, brother, amen. Just look at Whoraldo.....conservatives wanted to get the 'truth' about the 'war on terrorism' up close and personal, so to speak....well, he gave it to them--never mind that he lied--but it was what conservatives wanted to hear--wonderful buzz words like "hallowed ground" when referring to where military personnel losing their lives in battles or where they are buried.

Somehow, this all sounds like the pathetical politicians who run for office......when will we ever learn, when we we ever learn.

Are they giving her the mandatory gel lip implants and a lifetime supply of metamucil? Greta has taken the "look of perpetually constipation" mantle and carried it proudly since Patsy Schroeder retired.

It appears to me that the accountants and executives at Fox News are getting nervous about their "conservative" label. Even though Fox may say it is simply "fair", that still appears "conservative" by comparison. The accountants are telling the executives that being "too conservative" may not be good for the bottom line. The executives are out trying to achieve "balance" in their pool of on-air talent.

CORRECTION: It's spelled Greta van Satan. There is one woman in the world harder to watch than Susan Estrich, and Fox found her.

"Is Fox trying to become indistinguishable from CNN?"

I was wondering the same thing! At least they sent Geraldo to Afghanistan. They will probably stick her in a slot where we have to look at her. That woman is annoying without even opening her mouth. Has anybody written to Fox about their "questionable" judgement? Liberal journalists ; about half the programming is reruns; hmmm, it doesn't look good.
