Can you translate this weird email???
Bump in the night | March 15, 2002 | Bump in the night

Posted on 03/15/2002 8:34:29 PM PST by Bump in the night

It all started a while back when I received a request from someone asking permission to be added to my MSN Instant Messenger. I sent him an email asking him if I new him and if not, why he wanted to add me to his instant messenger list. He replied. He said that he had seen my email address and liked the name. He was looking for friends and thought he would try me. He also said he was from Pakistan.

I nicely replied and said that I do not add people to my MSN Messenger that I do not know.

Now, I receive e-mails from him from time to time. The emails seem to all be religious in nature (Islamic). (I don't usually read them but just delete them.)

Now, his friends are sending me emails. I don't mind to much, as they just go into my junk mail file and I delete them. But I received the following one the other day and it is written in some other language. I have gone all over the internet trying to translate it, but to no avail. I just think it's weird getting an email in some other language from someone who normally sends emails in English. Can anyone translate this?

It is titled, "Special Message", and it is from someone by the name of "khurram aslam". I'd appreciate any help.

Madina mein ek shakhs ne khuwab mein dekha ke PROPHET(MPBUH)ne farmaya " meri ummat se kaho ke quran pak ki tilawat karo, namaz parha karo aur mera yeh peghaam har jaga pohncha do" jis shakhs ko bhi yeh peghaam miley ussey chahiyeh ke 7 martaba is ko taqseem kare. Theek 10 din baad iske ghar mein khushhaali aayegi. aur agar taqeem na kare to 10 din baad gham aayega".

"Mares eat oats "

That's what the title of the song implies, but the actual title of the song is, "Mairzy Doats".

It says "Send this message from the Prophet (peace be unto him) to 10 people and a box will pop up on your computer that you can redeem for a car bomb"

the gist of the message is that you should "spread the word" (about the prophet's teachings) within 7 days and that you will be rewarded "with happiness in exactly 10 days". If you do not obey, "a great misfortune will befall you at the end of those 10 days".

Oh... Thank God!!! I only received this 3 days ago! There's time left to spread the word before bad luck befalls me! No... wait! Slight problem here! I'm supposed to spread the word of the prophet's teaching. But I don't KNOW the teaching of the prophet! AHHHHHH! What, oh what do I do???!! LMAO

I live in the desert Southwest in New Mexico near the Mexican border. The last ten or twelve cattle mutilations in our county, Dona Ana county, have had notes pinned to the udders with exactly these words hand written in day glow ink on high quality bond paper.

Our Sheriff's Dept has issued a press release saying they believe it is in the Vegan language. Hope this helps.

PROPHET(MPBUH) That's the Prophet Mohammed, PBUH is "Peace be Upon Him," it might be MPBUH in another language...

You had it right: MPBUH = "May peace be upon him". It's the traditional way of mentioning the Prophet Mohammed in their religion.

It's the traditional way of mentioning the Prophet Mohammed

The last contract job I worked, there was a very young, very confused security guard working the premises. He was Roman Catholic, but was flirting with the Muslims at UT, he'd always try to engage me in discussions about how wonderful Islam is, and I'd drag out my Bible and suddenly he'd have to go walk the perimeter of the building. He actually pronounced it (PBUH) as puh-buh - I noticed the same habit in several other Muslims when talking with them. "When the Prophet Mohammed, puhbuh, said blah blah blah..."

Seriously! This is NOT a joke.

I asked one of my Pakistani friends and this is what he says that it says:

"One person living in Madina (The holy city where the Prophat's tomb) has seen Muhammad S.A.W(the Prophat) in his dreem. The Holy Prophat was saying to him "Told every one that they must read Quran (The holy Book of muslims) and perform Nimaz (muslim pray to Allah 5 times a day) and spreed my message to all the persons"

The person who receive this message must sent this to atleast 7 persons. After 10 days he will have wealth & happiness in his home. If he will not deliver this message to others after 10 days he will have a sorrow/trouble to his family" end

He said not to worry.

I'm curious if you use the screen name "Bump in the night" on any forums where your email address is available.

I recieved an email where my FR screen name was used. I had never used my FR screen name anywhere else where I disclosed my email address. Have you?

Cheers:^)

FR is the only place where I use the name "Bump in the night". My normal internet screen name is "Cranpup", however, I don't use it anywhere where my email address is also displayed. The email addy he sent this to is a whole different name all together. What's weird, is that that email addy I have NEVER used to sign up for anything. It's just an extra email addy I made for a business I was going to start, but never did. So I don't know how in the heck I ever get any email there at all. Weird. I guess what's really funny is that I even check that email addy at all, since all I get there is junk. LOL
