I, for one, took a brief look at the beta version.

I thought "This really, truly sucks." and assumed it would get buried in negative feedback and die a deserved death.

It was far too slow-loading for me to get involved with and discuss, so I let it go. Perhaps I should have stuck with it long enough to register my impression.

Sure hope this is a bad dream I wake up from in the morning. Sorry, Jim 'n John; I know creating it took a lot of effort, but usability should be paramount.

It's the font? I thought it was the flag column that was making the page look warped. I'm also getting a black flash in the right hand column every time I scroll. I have no idea what's causing that.

Can't explain the black flash but you have to use your smallest text size to scroll the forum page. {the one with the flag}

Welcome to the " webbie " club. It does NOT work with it, and I refuse to use a computer.

Maybe Jim and John don't care that webbies and those with slower loading computers are having massive problems with this. If they wanted to cull / winnow FR, without outright bannings, this was the way to do it.

Ok wellllll ummmm.....is there a way to set the sidebar to show breaking news again? That is why I loved this site? Is that gone forever? What is going on...this SUCKS like BIG TIME - I hate this design

Personally, I like layout. And regarding the sidebar for breaking news, etc, more times than not, it was used for stories that the poster thought important and not really breaking news.

You have a great site and I for one appreciate the upgrades and improvements you've made.

LOL--that was quick, thanks Powers that Be! I didn't care for the flag bar--patriotic, but that's not really a problem around here, and it does take up a lot of space...and perhaps could the Breaking News be optional?

The sidebar for breaking news is what made the site so good and handy and easy to navigate...the story was right there..you hit refresh see if anything MAJOR is going on. It was great. THIS SUCKS.....
