Teachers Union Plans To Take Up Homosexual Resolution,IT'S BEING TAUGHT IN SCHOOLS NOW!
CNSNEWS.COM ^ | March 20, 2001 | By Jim Burns

The National Education Association is expected to take action on a resolution in support of development of school curriculum and programs designed to meet the needs of gay and lesbian students when the union holds its annual convention in July in Los Angeles.

A similar resolution in support of Gay and Lesbian history month was removed from the union's platform in 1996 after pressure from conservative and other groups.

However, Kathleen Lyons, a spokesperson for the NEA told CNSNews.com in a telephone interview that while it's not finalized yet the resolution being worked on by the union's resolution committee is similar to the history resolution.

"It's not about gay and lesbian history month. There is a new resolution that definitely deals with gay and lesbian issues, but it's not for a gay and lesbian history month celebration. There will be a resolution from our resolutions committee that is likely to go to the full assembly. We won't know that for certain until May," NEA spokesperson Kathleen Lyons said.

"The difference is that this one parallels what we have on record for other minority groups, women and people with disability," said Lyons.

CNSNews.com received a draft of the resolution. Under the title, "Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Education," the resolution said, " The National Education Association recognizes that the complex and diverse needs of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning students; and gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender families and their children require the development of programs that promote a safe and inclusive environment."

The resolution also said that the NEA "believes in efforts that provide for:"

a. Development of curriculum and instructional materials and programs designed to meet the needs of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender students.

b. Involvement of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender educators in developing educational materials used in classroom instruction.

c. Dissemination of programs that support gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning students and address the high drop out rate, suicide rate, and health risk behaviors.

d. Recognition of the importance of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender education employees as role models.

e. Accurate portrayal of the roles and contributions of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people throughout history.

f. Dissemination of programs and information that include the contributions, heritage, culture, and history of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people.

g. Coordination with gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender organizations and concerned agencies that promote the contributions, heritage, culture, history, health and care of gays, lesbians, bisexuals, and transgender people.

Concerned Women For America believes that the NEA is trying to reorient children away from their parents' values, according to CWA spokesperson Wendy Wright.

"The NEA seems to think that public schools are more akin to re-education camps than academic centers. They seem to be obsessed with reorienting kids away from their parents' values. They clearly show that they don't trust parents, and they want to take the job of giving moral direction to kids away from the parents," said Wright.

Wright added, "When these kids start acting out in a risky behavior, who is going to be there to pick up the pieces when they get sexually transmitted diseases or when they become suicidal because people in the homosexual lifestyle are at a much higher risk of being suicidal and of substance and drug abuse as well."

"These teachers aren't going to be the ones around to pick up the pieces when these kids' lives are destroyed. It's going to be in the hands of the parents," Wright said.

Meanwhile, in his national radio broadcast on Tuesday, Dr. James Dobson, president of Focus On The Family, a Christian ministry, warned that a "national homosexualization of schools" is coming. He called on parents to take action against what he called a "recent push to integrate pro-gay curriculum in schools" and believes it's a "nationwide effort that will soon put almost every child at risk."

Two states where Dobson believes pro-gay bills are being pushed are California and Massachusetts.

"I beg you to defend your children. If you won't defend your kids, who will you defend? What are you willing to fight for if it not your children? If a child is being ridiculed, and his self-concept is torn apart, of course we must come to his or her aid, but that concern often becomes an excuse for a curriculum that teaches homosexuality and punishes those who don't agree," Dobson said.

Pull your children or help your children financially to pull your grandchildren from government schools now!

Thanks for the post. I'm glad that others like you are finding such info and bringing it forth. I get tired of doing this alone (well, not alone...just not many of us posting such info).

I disagree with your assertion to "pull your kids from government schools" though, and I'll respectfully explain why:
While "pulling your kids from government schools" may seem to solve the problem for your kids, in fact it does not. From a long-term perspective that action helps to further the homosexual agenda and further pollute the culture that they and their children will have to live in. Here's why:

Point One; The only force that has fought the onslaught of the homosexual agenda (indoctrination, etc.) has been those courageous parents who get involved in their school, stand up and expose the agenda for what it is, and raise a real stink about it. It is those parents who fight the pollution of our culture and refuse to "go gentle into that good night". Were it not for such people, the homosexual agenda would be years ahead of where it is now, perhaps decades.

Point Two; Each parent that "pulls the kids" leaves one less parent to fight this fight, thereby inadvertently helping the homosexual agenda by not being there to stop it. It's just like Conservatives that don't vote; their action helps to elect Liberals. Each parent who "pulls the kids" leaves a vacancy where a fighter ought to be.

Point Three; Each conservatively raised child pulled from public school leaves their classmates with yet one less example of a well-brought-up child. Their classmates are that much culturally poorer for his absence.

Point Four; Unless parents stop the homosexual agenda, where it is and in its tracks, it will further invade all aspects of our children's lives. Private schools and homeschooling will be its next targets, make no mistake about that. It is not a matter of "if", only "when". By the time the agenda is ready to take on these two targets, it will be much stronger than it is now. It will no doubt have overwhelming support from the public at-large, for the three reasons I have already stated.

GrandMom, there is no place to go, no place to live that is insulated from the culture that we create, either by our actions or inactions. I render no disrespect for parents who "pull their kids" and/or homeschool, and I fully recognize and celebrate their rights to do so.

I suggest, however, that our wish to bestow a decent culture upon our children (and theirs) stands a better chance of being realized by all of us parents getting in there and fighting to rid our public school systems of the New Butt Order (NBO). We either stop the homosexual indoctrination of our children, or we leave them a world that only a madman wants, and only a fool celebrates.

Remember that quote that says something like "All evil needs to succeed is for good men to do nothing"? (forgive my paraphrasing, it's 1:30 AM after all.)

If not US GrandMoM, than WHO?

Many NEA members continue to support these teacher unions because they associate the NEA with working for higher pay and retirement benefits. They are oblivious to the social degeneration promoted by the NEA. Or perhaps, higher pay for NEA members just trumps morality. The NEA people are also nearly monolithically Democrat, even though quite a few take their own children out of the government schools.

I have to agree with GrandMom. Although in theory, BB, you have a couple of points. First of all, I am not going to allow my boys to step foot in a public school for just this reason. Teaching all of this gay stuff shows me that the people in charge have no concern for my children's time or future success. It not only goes against everything I believe in, It shows poor judgement and lack of time management to spend so much time on these issues.

The homosexual agenda is one one of the hundreds of problems public school indocrination camps face.

The less people who attend these schols, the less funding they get, period. Eventually it will be clear to law makers, and the rest of society that government schools do not deserve the tax base they get. Then the real fight can begin.

In the meantime, the homeschooled kids and most of the private school kids will have gotten the attention and education they deserve. I can not sacrifice my kids....I really believe the poop is going to hit the fan on this one in about 5-7 yrs. Then we will see a change in public education.

The link in reply 2 doesn't work - here's the correct link:

There are links to many articles and other information in GrandMoM's thread that will be of interest to anyone concerned about the homosexual agenda. Please pass the URL on to parents, grandparents, etc.

You have raised many thought provoking points here Buffalo Bob, and you are right, If not US GrandMoM, than WHO?

I have been very daunted with the non- responses of these types of articles, and fear it has become much more acceptable than we realize, even in FR.

As far as putting my grandson in private school or home schooling him, time will tell, he is only two.

I will continue to fight this Gay Agenda until I am six feet under!

Thanks for your most helpful post. GrandMoM

....we must get the word out to more parents who are not aware that this is happening in our schools. Like in many articles that I have read it is hidden in other programs and the parents are not notified.
As soon as I get factual information, (names of NEA , dates and material used), I am building flyers to pass out to parents, doctors offices, businesses.
I have called many schools here and asked about progarms like Sex-Ed, diverscity training etc., many skated around the issue and passed me onto another instructor who was just as evasive.
I do not have a child in school here, so I have no proof this training is going on,YET, but I am working on it.

GrandMoM....I understand your frustration, because I, too, am frustrated.....it is as though we are being surrounded in a battle, and we have few weapons. It is so outrageous (what is going on) that I think many just don't believe it, which is part of the problem. We are fighting the "silence day" on April 10th (see another thread) and the use of children to promote acceptance of something many find unacceptable (or at least immoral). We have GOT to put together a "platform" which addresses the reasons why school superintendents should NOT follow down the suggested NEA path (i.e. early death for homosexuals, percent of kids affected (few); their mission (teaching reading, writing, arithmetic - not sexual orientation issues.) They are pushing an agenda which will tear apart the lives of many mixed up kids. Our RANTING here is not concerted, organized, etc.....we MUST work with other organizations to address these issues, individually, but with a similar message, outside of the religious one. OK, I'll step off my soapbox now...but, is anyone interested in the platform idea?

Well, maybe we could private email all the people who participated in this thread, and send out a draft of ideas you and I have, like the organizations who support our ideas (Concerned Women of America, and others) and I can gather some statistics to have on the "platform"....we both should brainstorm what WE think a "platform" will look at, and then collude (is that a word?) Maybe we do that, and then email each other our ideas within a week? Whaddya think? Anyone else out there can contribute too....one thing....we have to keep RELIGION to a minimum. I know that seems weird, but there are other ways to approach the heathens, and we CAN do it.....with stats, facts, and logic. I've also found it useful to put together questions, that ask obvious, but telling questions, like.... How many children are homosexuals? DUH. None, until you make them into one by messing with their mind. I am sooooo pissed about all this homosexual issue stuff in schools, that I am thinking of having my mantra made into a bumper sticker......"I'm for SEPARATION OF SEX AND SCHOOL"

Seems to me that it would take a law/bill (state-by-state) to outlaw the teaching of or accept suppport for anything related to matters of sex in public schools. That would have to include the outlawing of school-based clinics, sex education, health classes related to sex, STD's, etc. The only thing you would have to exempt books in the library that the district (and parents) agree to shelve on the subject, and the scientific discussion of the reproduction of species in biology, etc.

It'll never happen.

Thanks for the PING. One thing that comes to mind is an active campaign against those running for "School Board" positions who are on record as supporting the NEA.

A freaking alien cult has just invaded our school for sake of its own very personal jurisdiction, in violation of jurisprudence, separation of powers and violent fascist labeling indoctrination. THe next gens will label their parents like one labels cattle.

Whoops! Forgot my comment.

Forty years is way too late.

The NEA is the most evil entity in America, as it purportedly has the interests of children as its aim. There is no other entity that I can think of which so contradicts itself.

Well....they've outlawed religion.....why couldn't we make the same claim for sex, (which it seems is a religion for many people.) Parents could send their kids to their chosen organization (location) for the "sex" education - their church, planned parenthood, or other local place.....we need to make the case that it does NOT (Nor SHOULD NOT) need to be taught in the public schools....it's not a "RIGHT".......it's a bodily function, with varying opinions on how it is to be carried out, depending upon the family. I would REALLY like to find a way to MAKE this an ISSUE in Schools......and I believe we could if we make a big enough stink.....
