Alec Baldwin, the wife beater?
NY Post/Page 6 ^ | 4/4/02

ALEC Baldwin might be a bloviator, but a wife beater? The National Enquirer claims in a front-page story that the actor used to hit his spouse Kim Basinger. The couple's divorce was granted in February, but they still haven't worked out the financial settlement. "She's worried about his stability," one "close friend" is quoted in the weekly. "She claims he hit her more than once." According to the Enquirer, Kim arrived with a new bodyguard at a recital at their daughter Ireland's California school, and sat as far away as possible from Baldwin. Several calls to Baldwin's rep yesterday were not returned.

Alec is very mixed up. He's pretended to have grown up in an integrated town and that he cared about African-Americans. At the same time, on late night TV, he said that he had just come back from "Africa, Africa" and "if" Hyde's family were in another country, they would be stoned by the irate populace living there.

In other words, his hidden opinion is that Africans stone innocent family members of politicians they disagree with.

You would almost think Alec Baldwin pretends to care for African Americans much more than he really does.

There seems to be a lot of negative stuff about Alec Baldwin coming out lately. I think the media has finally turned on him as well.

he has a son named "Soviet Union."

Make that sons -- Soviet Union is a good name for siamese twins.

"This is really pretty sad. Steven Segal was the same way. I wonder what makes these seemingly well-put-together celebrities act so vicious. Childhood?"

Is it not the way America and the media and the world treat them? They are called "stars" and "celebrities"? Stars and celebrities? Because they are handsome or beautiful and apparently believe that they actually embody the part (doctor, lawyer, scientist) they are playing? I have gone to about five movies in the last thirty years--and that was five too many.

Professional sports have gone the same way. NBA and NFL and MLB players get paid obscene amounts of money to entertain thousands upon thousands. One of the best things we can do as conservatives is to not patronize events that do not reflect our values. To me, movies and professional sports definitely fall into that category.

Didn't Sid Blumenthal smack his wife around all the time, too?
There's something really sick about these Clinton sychophants.

Very well stated. Baldwin drove the final nail in his coffin when he did his Henry Hyde tap dance. That one even cost him some liberals, I'll wager.

This is the same guy who thought stoning Henry Hyde was a good idea during the impeachment hearings. Yes, I think he's a dangerous man.

Oh yeah. Tatum O'Neal. Another instable person, by her own admittance. Well....... I guess they deserve each other.

Did anybody see Baldwin on "Primetime Glick" last week? Almost nothing throws Martin Short off his game, but Baldwin's humorless, ominous performance made Short (aka Jiminy Glick)cut the interview off pretty quick.

For comedy addicts on this site, "Glick" is a MUST!!

She's just a little more personable is all.

And a whole heck of a lot easier to look at.
