Tsk, tsk, you Homilophobe lol
Seriously, I could care less whether they're gay or not. If they want less government, then they should do what they have to do to achieve that goal.
If not, she is a fifth columnist in the Republican party.
If Christians played such a game with their values, would you be called Christianphobic?
In terms of history, the evidence is that cultures overly given to allowing, supporting too much homosexuality--those cultures don't seem to do very well over the long haul.
Per my observation, there seems to be at least a couple main styles of homosexuality. One group is more or less in your face, we are taking over your culture, your children, your political arena, your jobs, your family, your churches, your streets, your parks, your government, your courts, your life. We will win. We will seduce, coerce, rape any guy that seems fitting to us to do so with and you will be unable to do anything about it. You are uncooth, uneducated, unmodern, irrational, ignorant, square, out of it and only worthy to be aborted no matter how long you've been out of the womb.
The other group has also mostly given up struggling against their orientation but they'd mostly appreciate being left alone, being treated with civility, having a fair chance at jobs that didn't upset mothers, fathers and Christians and just getting on with their lives. They don't necessarily want to "come out." They don't want treated like vampires but they aren't out to seduce anyone who's not trying to seduce or at least actively cooperate with them. They understand aversions to their orientation. They don't particularly feel wonderful about it themselves. But they are tired of struggling against it. They'd be glad if the issue just went away or sank out of public discourse.
Of course you will......dullard!
You know very well "homophobia" became standard usage the same way "african-american" and "pro-choice" did.
Weak, very weak.
Love thy neighbor? (No pun intended)
It is also a hotbed of what ever you may be against or for. It is diverse and has its share of the rational and irrational. Your comment sets you in the latter since you offer no argument only insult.
I have no problem with homosexuals, but I do have a big problem with the whole issue of rights and the affording of protection of so called rights beyond what is afforded to all. By setting up a protected group, you set up envy and animosity toward the group because they are treated differently. Any comment, be in informed or uninformed, gets tagged as prejudiced. So discussion ends and resentment begins.
What is being asked of those who do not appreciate the lifstyle of homosexuals is an affirmation of that lifestyle as being normal and correct. You also have another major problem, which is historically when homosexuality became approved, it signaled the end of that civilzation as well as an eventual backlash against them.
Most people in this country take it for granted as being able to continue with its liberties forever. It will not.
Another article on FR tells of George Lucas saying that democracies fall from within and move toward dictatorships. There is some truth there and you can certainly see it in the size of our government and its continual growth, both in size and control over our lives. The dictators are often puritanical leftist who ascribe to a moral code which stamps out what they consider evil (jews and homosexuals in Hitler's case even though several of his underlings were homosexual!) but runs a socialist economy, since dictators, by their nature, like to be in control of everything. The dictator feeds the peoples resentment toward bosses and toward groups. A democracy will exist only when all men are treated equally. We have moved beyond that and groups demand inequality. The seeds of our destruction are continuing to be planted.
