America will eventually find itself either "One Nation Under God," as the founding fathers envisioned, or under the jackboot of "enlightened" elitists who seek to "overthrow God" to coin a phrase popularized by V.I.Lenin. Lenin and his vast international circle of fellow travelers and camp followers sought to install themselves as supreme rulers of the universe in place of God. Lenin and his ilk, rather than Jefferson, Adams et al, were the forebears of today's movement to drive the creator out of the Public Square and public consciousness.
Believers and non-believers alike ought to be concerned about the 9th circuit court of appeals ruling that bans God from the pledge of allegiance when recited in public schools. Firstly, God in the pledge of allegiance does not constitute an establishment of religion as such. What the founding fathers meant by religion was an established hierarchy, such as, for example, the Church of England, which, in their generation, was used as a controlling instrument of the state at the expense of other religions. The only thing coming close to such a religious establishment in public life and education in this country today would be secular humanism. While it is true, thankfully, that the God of the pledge of allegiance is the Judeo-Christian God, it is also true that the term God is a common and accepted English term for a creator of the universe that can be applied to all religions and creeds. Technically, the term God is a generic description of something greater than material existence.
The founding fathers, while not necessarily born again Christians, nevertheless lived within a context of judeo-Christian moral precepts and culture. They were all well versed in the Bible. One of the most significant conceptions emanating from the founding generation was the realization that the rights came not from the King but from "the creator" as the Declaration of Independence so eloquently states. They formally acknowledged all rights as coming from a creator rather than from a man ruled state such as the one Lenin's ancestors now seek to incrementally impose by concertedly, and over the long-term, getting us to forget exactly where our rights actually came from.
Lenin's spiritual descendants conspire to ban God from our awareness not only because rights come from him, not the state, a considerable obstacle to their scheme, but also attached to those rights is a moral code by which sovereign individuals can fashion their lives. This moral code contributes to an acute awareness of individual sovereignty and the role that each individual plays in the universe. Individuals, imbued with an awareness of the meaning to existence, are virtually immune to the blandishments of elitists who try to market surrender of rights and sovereignty in the name of collectivism. In the place of God, they promote a licentious culture and illiteracy in order to weaken the bond. Under God, however, the individual understands that, ultimately, he will be judged by his character not by his obedience to man-made gods.
The United Nations is a perfect example of this neo-Leninist Godless mentality. The UN seeks to replace God with "sustainable development," the moral authority of the family with sex education, and local elected government designed to protect God given rights with international appointed bureaucrats deriving their authority from brute force. UN documents and treaties are filled with the type of totalitarian jargon that would have made the Nazis blush with envy. All of this is couched in classic Marxist Aesopian platitudes. They promise us that if we only surrender God, and God given rights, all will be just and equal. The Removal of God from our pledge of allegiance to this sovereign republic is a determined step in this direction.
This was the basis of our independence, and formation of our nation. The founders clearly acknowledged that this was a nation founded "under God" or Providence. Many people today may not acknowledge God, but this dependence and acknowledgement of God is an important part of our national heritage. The atheists may not like it, but this is historical fact, and as Americans who love their country, they should be willing to acknowledge that historical fact.
Welcome to that nonexistent NWO.

Very well, said.
