Why July 4 is significant to Islamists
World Net Daily ^ | July 3, 2002 | Mark Robinson

On Sunday, one of the "experts" in the endless parade of experts on cable news stated the obvious: "I am unaware of any special significance of the date Sept. 11." His implication was that there is no reason to anticipate a terror attack on July 4 because bin Laden didn't use date significance as a basis for selecting 9-11. Although he was technically accurate, he was pretty far from correct.

Bin Laden is trying to raise the entire Muslim world to Jihad. Creating the mystique of the Chosen is central to his goal, and symbolism is the greatest weapon in his arsenal (thus far). Consider what he said (twice) in his post-Sept. 11 video: "… after 80 years, the sword has come to America …" He was clearly referring to the resolution passed by the U.S. Congress endorsing the partition of Palestine (creation of a Zionist homeland) on Sept. 11, 1922.

Experts on American news networks continually warn us that al-Qaida may be encoding secret messages to sleeper cells in their videos and communiqués, but bin Laden speaks openly, relying on us not knowing even our own history, let alone Islamic history. Which brings us to July 4. We, in our narcissism, assume that July 4 is all about us. But to Muslims it is a day of ultimate triumph.

On July 4, 1197, Saladin (Salah al-Din) completely annihilated the 20,000-man Crusader army at the battle of the Horns of Hattin, driving the "Christians" from the Holy Land until the 20th century. And we can be sure it is not lost on bin Laden that Saladin won this battle in spite of the fact that the Crusaders carried with them the "True Cross" (the True Cross was a relic designated by Constantine's mother during the initial phase of the paganization of Christianity).

Consequently, July 4 is a very likely candidate for a terrorist strike, albeit only if the Islamists feel they have the means to achieve a final victory over the U.S.

The first question is, do they? Recently, al-Qaida spokesman Abu Ghaith promised to kill 4,000,000 of us, referring to America as "Hubal." Hubal was the last and the largest of the 364 pagan gods in the Kaaba to be toppled by Muhammad (al-ilah, the predecessor to Allah, was left standing). The image of Hubal was so large that Ali (Muhammad's son and the first Imam) had to stand on the Prophet's shoulders to push it over.

The second question is, clearly, is bin Laden ready to stand on the Prophet's shoulders now? That really should be a role of the 12th Imam (Al Mahdi – the long-awaited Muslim chosen one who will convert the whole world by the sword). Maybe bin Laden has been hanging around a guy in really old clothes for a reason: Mullah Omar wears the Cloak of Muhammad (which he stole from a museum in Kandahar). We all know neither clothes nor symbols make the man, but in an eschatologically-based war, image and deeds together can be larger than life. Remember, most of Europe capitulated before Tiger tanks bearing swastikas and the mere idea of blitzkrieg.

It is reported that Bin Laden writes poetry in the style of Saladin. For bin Laden, defeating the Crusader army and knocking over Hubal on July 4 would be the stuff of which epic poems are made.

. One example is Christmas, Jesus was born in the spring (his dad was in town to pay his taxes which would have been in March.), not during the winter solstice December 25th.

His dad? To whom does the Lord God Almighty pay taxes? Surely you're not being so disrespectful to the Christians on Free Republic as to state that Saint Joseph was Our Lord's biological father.

In NY, the crescent moon and planet was clearly visible in the eastern sky during the a.m. of Sept. 11, 2001. It may have been visible a day or 2 or so even before that, but I first noticed it when I awoke at about 5:35 a.m. on the morning of 911. It was shining so clearly out my kitchen window as I started making coffee. I thought it looked so pretty. The planet was just as clear right next to the crescent moon, to the right of it. I knew immediatety I had seen the crescent and a star to the right of it in my atlas pages of flags of all nations. But I didn't get around to looking at the atlas to see what nations that config represented until Sept. 12th....I was preoccupied as was the rest of the world to the events of that day.

Also the shifting of the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday, to coincide with the holy day of the pagan deity Sol Invictus.

but Constantine himself was already converted to Christianity at that point. He was a believer and did not act as casually or as disinterested as your statement infers.

Actually, there is a lot of doubt about Constantine's "conversion". I've studied many works by many scholars who abolutely insist he did convert, others claim, -- not so fast! I haven't kept up with the latest trend in thinking. But one can certainly say that Constantine was tolerant of Christianity, but he did not grant the Christians their request for a separate feast date. (They had to share December 25 with everyone else.)

Wrong Josephus!

9/11

9 x 11 = the 99 attributes (names) of Allah

And Allah lives, Deep in the heart of Saudi Arabia.

Ok, I was looking for a star configuration in the PM with the crescent moon to match sneaker's description - and coming up empty handed. Here's the data for New York city. Without knowing when sneaker looked at the sky, I can't find the star he/she is referring to:

I'm sorry for being so vague. I seem to remember it was about 9:00 on the evening of Sept. 11th. I am located in Indiana, Pennsylvania and I got my coordinates from a geography site: http://www.census.gov/cgi-bin/gazetteer
My zip code is 15701. And I am a SHE.

Ok, Well, I've been going crazy. Using the lat/long you gave me, I came up with no moon up in the evening of September 11, 2001 at all. Using the city you've given me, I get the same thing. Are you sure you've got the right day?

The link about the congressional resolution did not say anything about partition of Palestine. It just said that congress endorsed the Balfour Declaration, which called for a Jewish national homeland in Palestine while protecting the rights of the existing Christian and non-jewish communities as well as the holy places.

Partition was done by the U.N. in 1947

91/1/17 - Start of Desert Storm. I have always wondered if this is why 02/9/11 was chosen as much as any other reason. If there was a reason for that date. Your reasoning is as good as this or better.

Yes, I'm sure it's the correct day. I could, however, be wrong about the time. I simply don't remember the time. I just know that it was a clear night. Also, I'm thinking that it's the planet Venus - not a star - although astronomy has never been one of my strong points either, so please forgive me if my guess is wrong. I don't think most stars are that bright when viewed with the naked eye. Johnstown, Pa is only about 30 miles away. Perhaps you can get a better fix by using the longitude/latitude for that town.

The only thing I remotely find which *might* be taken for the crescent moon/star combination of the Paskistan flag is Propus, in the Gemini constallation -- but this is really a bit of a stretch, and it it only works at 4:30 am on the morning of the 12th for your lat/long. Another possibility is Geminorum also of the Gemini constallation-- but that's only a factor at 1:30 am on the morning of the 12th.

Hey Utopia. Can you perhaps find the info using my NY Long Island location? For sure, it was either a star or a planet next to the crescent moon. Frankly, I thought stars were planets!
