[history]
After a decade of dissembling and political cowardice, the U.S. Navy has finally done right by one of its genuine heroes. Unfortunately, the decision is far too late to restore what was once a glorious military career.
Assistant Navy Secretary William Navas ruled last week that Robert Stumpf - a Gulf War combat hero and two-time commander of the Navy's Blue Angels aerial-acrobatic team - had been the victim of a blatant "injustice" that ended his once-standout military career.

Now, the Navy has reversed course and granted Stumpf his promotion, along with seven years of back pay, citing his "heroic achievements as a strike fighter pilot in combat."
It seems almost like too little too late. At least justice was served, in the end...

But Congress, with the detestable former Rep. Pat Schroeder of Colorado leading the way, demanded the head of anyone who'd been anywhere near Tailhook that weekend. Why bother to sabotage a military base when you can take out the trained personnel instead by leveling false charges?
Patsy Schroeder and her gang are a crew of traitors to the United States.

Glad to see someone over at The DOD with some common sense again!

I used to work at Naval Air Systems Command. There was a patch going around back then: Tailhook '91: I WASN'T THERE!!
But Schroeder et al won, and now the military is feminized. . .

"But Congress, with the detestable former Rep. Pat Schroeder of Colorado leading the way, demanded the head of anyone who'd been anywhere near Tailhook that weekend. " I hope that this b*tch chokes on her own bile. How she could be associated with the party of a rapist and otherwise notorious womanizer, Bill Clinton, and still have the gall to go after anyone associated with Tailhook is beyond my comprehension.
She and her ilk are odious, disgusting wastes of flesh and our time. All they are good for is to be intelligence tests for American citizens. If you vote for them, believe them, or are in some way influenced by them, you're STUPID and should be sterilized so you can't reproduce! Get outta the gene pool! And for God's sake, STOP voting!!!

I hope this opens the door for a re-examination of some of the others who were forced out of the Navy The comment of an officer and a gentleman. There were many more injustices than just this one.

Stumpf's sin was being a man in uniform in the Clinton era.

Someday in the "sweet by and by", when all secrets are revealed, we'll learn that "Tailhook" was a manufactured incident designed to "down" the military and the Bush ('41) Administration.

WOW! That is *excellent* news! I hadn't heard that!
My husband was one of the attendees at Tailhook that year, though he was just a good friend of mine at the time. His account of what happened there, was in no way similar to what the media described.
At the time, I had recently moved to to Arizona after accepting a position in the health care industry. About a week prior to the convention, I started hearing several of my single, female friends mentioning their plans to carpool up to Vegas that weekend, because "the boys were back in town." Apparently, this had become a sort of yearly mecca. Mind you, these were highly intelligent, extremely attractive & successful ladies in their early 20s. I, for one, could not blame them, as I knew the caliber of men they were going to find.
In the end, when the media died down, it was proven that the woman who started it "all" chose to resign over being court-martialed for having slept with another officer, who happened to be married.

Watching the events unfold from San Diego as a Navy SWO it became apparent the complaint was initiated, not because, the Admiral's aide felt harrassed but because those in the so-called gauntlet failed to acknowledge her self appointed, exalted position. Tailhook was a well known event although mostly among aviators. There is no way she was not aware of what went on the fourth floor or of the gauntlet; as was every other officer and groupie who went to the hospitality suites. Of course, once she got the ball rolling, it was easy for the feminazi's to step in and prove the Navy brass was more concerned about their positions than about the welfare of their people.
