How's a box with a red X in it going to help the GOP against the Torch?

It shows the image on my computer. Maybe it is your browser or maybe it has something to do with linking pictures from Geocities.

FYI...

An ad like this might singlehandedly win the election for Doug Forrester. Make it happen, please!

Hope you're right about this, Antoninus. Still, I get the impression that New Jersey is a sewer of cynicism, where people just say, "hey, the Torch just did what everybody else does. So let's give him a pass." Sometimes I think people are more comfortable with dishonest politicians than they are with honest ones, who can be "scary." (You know, those "moral majority types" are trying to overthrow the government, persecute sinners, yada yada....)

Sigh. What a world we live in, when people aren't outraged when politicians convert their offices into sources of personal wealth and self-aggrandisement. Tell you what: I'd have nothing but contempt for the people of New Jersey if they give Torricelli another term as their senator. They'd have to be either hopelessly ignorant, hopelessly delusional (why else put a fox in charge of the chickens???) or hopelessly masochistic....

I wish Mr. Forrester godspeed with his challenge. The U.S. Senate is way overdue for a restoration of sanity and, left to the Dims, that just ain't gonna happen. JMHO FWIW.

The aristocracy tried to call some 'hick town' the armpit of the world. Hm..... could NJ become the armpit of the world? Then again, NY elected Hellery, even after hubby pardoned bomb terrorists.

And don't forget the $300 monogrammed silk shirt from Hong Kong, and the $125 silk tie. I suspect the lamp is likely more in the $800+ range. And the desk more like $1,500

I tend to think that any Republican candidate in NJ would decline to use a winning ad to defeat any Democrat. The "gentlemanly" Republican would consider such an ad to be "misleading" and in "bad taste." He would, in the words of Bob Dole, not want to "have to do that" to win. That is why the NJ Republican candidates will continue to lose election after election -- they would rather play polo than politics.

Dear Arthur,

This self-appointed aristocracy is free to make with whatever language they like. Nothing true about the universe changes in the least for all the racket they raise, at least not in the long run.

Still, deconcocting Leftish mysteries: Just be glad they confined themselves to referring to the town in question as an "armpit," rather than an "*ssh*l*." Indeed, one wonders why they should be showing such unaccustomed restraint in going after their perceived "enemies." (I.e., anybody who doesn't see it exactly their way, or otherwise fails to completely agree with their deranged visions RE: the human future).

So nice to hear from you, Arthur. All my best, bb.

Still a defeatist, I see. Why do you continue to hang around these threads if you NEVER have anything positive to say? Why not just sit quietly in your bitter little cave filled to the brim with negativity and pessimism.

Antoninus Pius, one man's defeatism and pessimism is another man's reality. The reality is that the GOP just won't fight as hard as the Democrats, and YOU know it!

Are YOU out there fighting, or are you just spewing negativity over the internet? If not, then you're just in the way. Start swinging or get out!
