Not a problem! I just thought you may be amused by some of the comments.

I applaud your membership. People like you made it possible for the rest of us to enjoy these attractions.
That said, perhaps future "members nights" should restrict their tours to areas set aside for the general public. The problem arises when members or special guests go "behind the scenes" to "get close" to the animals. This accident could have been far, far worse.

Too bad my parents had to take meThen you know all too well...."we are the people our parents warned us about!"
I catch the old man every time he comes to Florida or Georgia (although I hear Cincinanti is quite a blast!). The tailgaiting is legendary - that's really why I go. I love his music, but the Parrotfans are the best part of any Buffett show!
I hope your offer goes thru on the new rig. I'm sure it is a beauty. I don't sail (someday maybe), but I am a boater. Can I offer a suggestion for her christening? Leaky Tiki!
Think back from the song...."hey, hey Gardner McKay, take us on the Leaky Tiki with you." I named my first boat LT - have seen none others with that name! If you don't use LT, think of another Buffett reference : )

No different than falling into the ocean.

We are members of the Audubon Zoo and they do this as well.If they offer to take you on a behind the scenes tour don't go on the catwalk over the lion's cages.
Seriously though the aquarium wasn't designed to take these types of behind the scenes tours and it is negligent of them to do so. If the aquarium doesn't stop these tours, I am sure the price of your membership will increase next year to pay for the much-needed additional insurance.

0350 on a cool (43F) Sunrise in about four hours
Friday morning, anchored off Dunedin, N.Z
We must avoid mention of Fred's, er, "handicap," as it is entirely too painful to the crew to contemplate.
Plus, I cannot tolerate another round of uncontrolled laughter.

But...but...what about the sharks? Are they okay? Do they need psychological counselling? The trauma...the trauma!
What did the President know and when did he know it?
To: Redleg Duke
Klinton knew this was going to happen and had a contingency plan drawn up which, of course, GW ignored.

The accident happened while members of the aquarium were on an after-hours behind-the-scenes tour. The platform they were standing on is used by keepers to feed the sharks and is not usually open to the general public, Lee said. Shouldn't there be a "here, hold muh beer" alert for this article's title?

Yes, but they were ill-tempered.

Sounds like a James Bond trick gone wrong.

Fred's handicap?! Ya'll told me that he CHOSE to get that double orchidectomy as a gesture of his 'good intentions' to the female crew members.....well, waddayaknow....the truth finally outs. Using Spam, as a poultice, on such a site seems to be a bit of 'insult after injury', though!!!-)

I am going to be missing in action for a few days, going to the back of the beyond to hunt down and slay the wily trout-spam and bass-spam to replenish the larder.
In my spare time, I may work a little.
Billie, where is that giant flag, I am going south of Sonora.

Permission to leave the ship granted. LadyX has prepared several packages of your temperance tracts for the natives in the local bars and, er, houses. We know we can depend on you.
Carry on.

Wait until the real sharks (lawyers) get a hold on the architect, the builder and the manager of maintenance at this birdbath if you want to see some blood-in-the-water.

Just 2 points in the article:
"The platform they were standing on....is not usually open to the general public" AND "Staffers at the aquarium are trained to deal with emergencies like this one"
