Michelle Malkin for INS Chief
Vanity | August 16th, 2002 | Sabertooth

Posted on 08/16/2002 12:43:09 PM PDT by Sabertooth

She's a successful politicial columnist, a rock-ribbed conservative Republican, the daughter of Philippino immigrants, and passionately opposed to the invasion of Illegal Aliens into our nation.

Michelle Malkin would be a blockbuster selection for President Bush as the new INS Chief, in the wake of the retirement announcement of current Chief James Ziglar.

Let the Democrats try and demagogue her.

That's what we're trying to do with this thread, right?

Absolutely. Go Dubya, go!

You're funny.

Allright, let's help him. I'll email GW and Racicot, but you gotta email Newsmax and try and get some free publicity for the upcoming draft. As you well know, getting the number one pick in the draft can be a franchise maker.

OK... isn't Carl Limbacher a Freeper?

Who's got Tancredo's ear?

How about the INS and BP rank and file? Can we get something rumbling there?

Other options in the GOP?

Let's get Michelle Malkin on the radar!

The only downside I see to this idea is the possibility that it may limit or inhibit the opportunity for her to run for an elective office in the immediate near future, with the same sort of FReeper support that she enjoys on this thread.

Congresswoman Malkin has every bit as nice a ring to it as does Commissioner Malkin... and offers the thought of higher elective office from there.

But if she wants the INS/BP job- and considering the planned takeover of those agencies by the Homeland Security Apparat, she might well not desire it- than I'd certainly back the idea. It's certainly worth pursuing.

I think I've seen him post articles as carl/newsmax, but I'm not sure? Maybe someone else here can confirm.

Re 208 -- she seems to have memorized a series of sentences expressing "conservative thoughts". But she seems unable to select and bridge together a series of these memorized sentences, such that the larger utterance makes sense. Nor is she capable of coming up with an original thought.

Gee that's just what Democrats like to memorize and say about George W. Bush, Dan Quayle, and Ronald Reagan.

Nice, original talking points you've got there.

Your remarks on the mark.

She also has this habit of looking into the camara, instead of staying engaged with the host. I noticed that recently, when she appeared with Tony or Brit on Special Report.

Malkin needs to get more media savvy, if she ever expects to be taken seriously by those of us conservatives who respect gravitas and oppose wild eyed rhetoric being spewed by a political novice.

Ooo... the G-word.

Another Daschle talking-point. Too easy.

Nor is she capable of coming up with an original thought

"Why does a Hollywood has-been's car crash deserve endless headline news reports, while a young man's sacrifice in defense of our borders earns zero national TV coverage?" (quoted from the article in the first 50 posts)

Seems pretty original to me.

Better than wandering around the parking lot looking into the camaro.

Just kidding, trying to lighten up the gravitas. That is such a somber word.

I'd like to give Bush the benefit of the doubt and believe he had something to do with Ziglar's leaving. It doesn't add up, though.

Bush hasn't announced any changes in his positions on an extension of 245i, deporting illegals or using the military to seal the border.

Ziglar has been screwing the pooch over at the INS for 2 years and Bush hasn't said one, single, solitary thing about it the whole time.

Now, with no apparent pressure from the White House, Ziglar announces his resignation 4 weeks before 9/11/2002.

Call me cynical, but I believe Bush was more shocked than we were.

The Libertarian Party is just giving up a very visible and prestigious appointment to an agency from which to implement one their major platform planks. Just like that. Yeah, right.

Ziglar's running for the tall grass. I've got the same feeling I'd have if I saw everyone from the engineering room getting in the lifeboats.

Bob, here's another coincidence for you one month prior to the 1st anniversary of 9/11.

Britain On Standby For Nuke Strike; Secret Plan To Evacuate Millions In Terror Alert

Hmmm, no other Libertarian wants that top INS job anymore, huh?

Of the items on my list of questions, which ones do you oppose? Just curious, given your usual responses to anything having to do with illegal immigration.
