Sean Hannity's "Hannitization of America" book tour - FReeper Reports links thread
self | August 28, 2002 | tgslTakoma

Posted on 08/28/2002 6:38:51 PM PDT by tgslTakoma

In case you've been locked away in a dark room for the past couple of weeks, you may not know that Sean Hannity is traveling the US on his "Hannitization of America" book signing tour, publicizing his new (first) book, "Let Freedom Ring."

The book tour has been a huge success, even in areas not thought of as dens of conservatism. Since FReepers have been meeting Sean at many of his book tour stops, Sean has gotten the chance to see that we're mostly a great bunch of people; and he's even taken the time to tell his radio fans about us and gives them a little bit of our history.

I thought that it would be nice to have a thread that lists all the links to the Hannity book tour FReeper reports. I hope this is an appropriate subject for a thread. And I hope that FReepers who live near any of Sean's Hannitization of America book tour stops will go out and welcome him to their locales, too!

Please post any FReeper report links that I may have missed. Thanks!

D.C. Chapter Report: Sean Hannity "Let Freedom Ring" Booksigning 8/22/02

Sean's Booksigning in Atlanta (Today) -8/23/02

Doug from Upland talks with Hannity, on 08-26-02 radio show. I know. It's not really a report from a live meeting, but DfU did a great job with his phone conversation, so I think it deserves to be here.

Another link... Sean's stop in Washington, DC was a huge success for WMAL-AM630 radio and Borders Books, not to mention a great thrill for more than 1,000 Sean fans who started lining up in the Borders as much as 3 hours prior to his arrival, as this link to WMAL radio's scrapbook page with photos of August 22nd DC event shows. They even have a photo of Taxman holding one of the DC Chapter's welcome signs.

Caught a blip today of some people viewing Hannity as a
potential Congress or Senate candidate. Surely these same
people don't view him as an intellectual.

Is that what members of congress are...intellectual? I think they are mostly just smooth talkers.

I listen to Hannity once in a while. He's like Howard
Stern in this regard: Stern could tape a half-dozen shows
and run them over and over in series and his listeners
would not know the difference, Hannity is the same way. How
long can a talk show host get away with asking people on the street if they can recite the Pledge Of Allegiance
or who Richard Cheney is?. He has no idealogy unless
he reads Drudge or copies Neil Boortz.

What a great idea to post this thread. The pictures on the WMAL web site are wonderful. Taxman looks great with our welcome sign. Hannity's book is #3 today on the NYT list.

LOL. Some people probably do view Sean as an intellectual, that's why chatter about him running for elected office is such a surprise. I think he's far too smart to enter that funny farm.

gee whiz, maybe you aren't a regular Sean listener. Even before he went to NY, he was the voice of pure conservatism in Atlanta.

Do you watch his "fair and balanced" show with the liberal, Alan Colmes? If so, surely you haven't missed that Sean is a very knowledgable spokesman/defender of the political right. He's not obnoxious or rude, but he surely is articulate, consistent, and well informed.

Excuse me...I often wonder how someone could criticize Drudge. Basically all he does is link news sources and on occasion, snag news scoops. He seems to be pro-life, but not a political idealogue at all. The only reason people think he is, is because he scooped the world on Monica. Believe me, if Drudge discovered a Monica scandal in the Bush White House, he would be just as quick to tell the world.

Oh, thanks for the bump. If anyone has an opportunity to see Sean live and in person, Just Do It!! He spent 5 hours in Atlanta last Friday night signing books and chatting with folks.

I only wish he had been able to spend a few hours speaking to a forum such as he has in other cities on the tour.

Off topic: Bush will be in Louisville on Thursday to campaign for Ann Northup. He'll be at the Seelbach Hotel at noon. Entrance fee is $1000 per plate. I can't afford to go.

tgslTakoma - nice announcement.

I'm in picture #2! I'm in picture #2!! (With a book in front of my face!)

Sean is consistent with his convictions, open, even-tempered, and informed. I don't put him in Rush's class where he dissects news and looks for different angles, but Sean is sincere, straight-forward yet agreeable. Who can't like him? His looks are a positive, but even before I saw what he looked like, I was impressed with him.

If I had a $1000, I'd give it to you. I have met and spoken with President Bush and once you do, you are never the same again. Talk about a sincere and clear-eyed man...TV does not do him justice. He has charisma that just doesn't quit and he is a very serious man. He told me that the prayers of the people mean everything to him.

Wow, thanks for those handy links, tgslTakoma! I will check out these threads later this week when I have a bit more time to read them.

I hope we can catch Sean at one of his book signings (probably in the NYC/NJ area or Boston). Thanks again to the DC Chapter for inviting us down to Sean's DC stop. I sure wish we could've been there last week.

If I didn't know better I'd say you were a liberal.

Is there something wrong with this? I personally am interested in having good honest people as our leaders. Republican or otherwise.
