"seems weird that they are still on the highway, doesn't it?"

Not necessarily. They might have stopped to sleep during the day and got back on the road later. What I find odd is that they would draw attention to themselves by going through a toll booth without paying....unless they were PLANNING to get stopped. Distraction is what comes to mind. I hope not, but it's hard to believe that even they are dumb enough to to make that kind of a bungle accidentally.

One should not be in a hurry to move an explosive device. It is already out in the open, the public nor property is not at risk and they have all the time they need to not to aggravate the situation.

The dogs initially reacted to explosive materials in both vehicles.

"I'm wondering if bombs are somewhere else, but that the dogs are just smelling residue."

They are saying on Fox that this is a possibility, and of course the investigators are not telling what they do know.

It could be as simple as they'd had a beer or two. If they come from tea-totaling countries, maybe they don't handle alcohol well. But we certainly have heard anything like that...

I was referring to the fact that the police have been on the highway this long. It's been about nine hours now since they pulled the people over. The highway is still closed. I live in Naples, and we are quite far from Georgia. I'm not sure where Calhoun is, but we're about seven hours from the Georgia border.

Thanks! I imagine that investigators won't be telling the world what's up right now.

I do wonder if some of thes guys are yanking our chain. But consider this. These guys stand a good chance of being detained without trial for a loooooong time. If something big happens and they're suspected of being in the conspiracy, they have a problem. They get locked up for life without being martyred. That could hurt.

Oh.

The really sick thing was that they were laughing about 9/11. That's what raised a red flag for this lady.

Turkey Point Nuclear power plant in Homestead, just south of Miami. It was unharmed during Hurricane Andrew, its in that general area. I used to live about 5 miles away.

I am currently at work, in a large, Federal government agency building just outside of downtown Miami... I wonder how concerned I should be....

Fox News is speaking right now to the woman who called the police in GA. She said that the people were laughing about 9/11, that alarmed her. One of the men had a knitted skullcap and a beard down to his chest, the other men were clean shaven.

But Zogby has assured us that this is an urban legend. it doesn't happen. Let's move on.

The dogs smelled something they didn't like, it could be explosives or gunpowder or Shoney's bacon. It would worry me more if they DON'T find any explosives in the cars...I would have to assume they had already placed them somewhere.

Also I was wondering, why Miami? It doesn't seem a likely target for these guys if they really wanted to disrupt the USA...unless, as some have said, this was a diversion, OR, this was only one of many targets? Of course, this could just be a small, independent trio of bin Boobies with a couple sticks of dynamite who want to get their pics on Jihad magazine.
